Cameron Palatas: 'Bello' Magazine Feature June 2013

Cameron Palatas suits up for a feature for Bello magazine’s June 2013 issue, out on newsstands now!

Here’s what the 19-year-old actor had to share:

On Coachella: “I went to Coachella for the first time. I liked it a lot. My favorites were The Lumineers, Red Hot Chilli Peppers. Pretty lights was sick. And, of course, Dirtypohics & 2 chainz.”

On one of his first acting gigs: “In Kansas city my brother had auditioned for some role & ended up not getting it. The casting director called my mom two months after. They needed a family for a Wal-Mart commercial & asked if we’d be interested in coming to audition. I had no idea what we were even doing. We ended up going to Wal-Mart. I’m at the game section playing, and I look one isle over, & my whole family’s being interviewed. We booked the commercial. I was an extra in the back, and I hated being an extra.”

On who he likes in music: “I’ve been getting into music lately. Listening to a lot of Jay Cole. He’s one of my favorite rappers. He raps about real stuff. Really deep stuff. Not just about cars and money. I like deep stuff. So I hope within the next months, I’ll be releasing a mix tape. So far I’ve written three songs for this.”
