Nik Wallenda: Skywire Tightrope Walk Across Grand Canyon (Video)

Nik Wallenda risks his life by walking on a tightrope across the Grand Canyon during a live television special aired on the Discovery Channel on Sunday (June 23) in Arizona.

The 34-year-old adventure seeker walked a distance of a quarter mile at a height of 1,500 feet above ground. The “Skywire” walk took him just over 22 minutes to complete.

“It was way more windy, and it took every bit of me to stay focused the entire time,” Nik explained after the walk was over, saying the winds caused dust to accumulate on his contact lenses.

    Video Production Phoenix Says:

It was a great experience to be part of the production team for Skywire Live with Nik Wallenda. Even though we were production assistants, it was amazing to see what went into the planning to make this broadcast happen. We wrote a little blog post about our experience as well on our website, hope everyone likes it.
