Chris Brown opens the show with a performance of his latest songs at the 2013 BET Awards held at Nokia Theatre L.A. Live on Sunday (June 30) in Los Angeles.

The 24-year-old singer performed his single “Fine China” and his latest song “Don’t Think They Know” while Aaliyah‘s image appeared on the screen behind him.

To end the performance, Nicki Minaj flew down from the ceiling to debut their new collaboration, which will be on Chris‘ upcoming album X, in stores July 16.

I have to admit that was pretty fantastic.
Very Michael Jacksonianesque.

Jared, please stop promoting this thug. Young women read your blog and, by supporting someone who beats women, you are sending them a terrible message.

Life is unfair. Maraj being celebrated or applauded in any way, shape or form is a tragedy.

@Meh2: He’s a human being/entertainer with fans that love to see what he’s doing, especially when he’s doing well and staying out of trouble. It’s not sending a message to anyone. If you don’t like him, fine. But not everything has to be a social problem. what kind of message is being sent just because he’s at an awards show? leave the man alone to live his life & be celebrated for being an artist & musician. I understand his life choices are not good, but his music is great & that’s what he was there for.

@jodi: His life choices are not good? He beat a woman until she was black and blue and bleeding. His “life choices” are disgusting. Animals behave better.

For you to celebrate such a scum and label him an “artist” is repugnant.

@Meh2, C’mon it’s time to move on, Rih did it…get over it already!

Oh Yeah!!! @ 07/01/2013 at 11:28 am

@#5 and after all of what you said, Rihanna still wants Chris Brown back!

# 8

@Oh Yeah!!!: And doesn’t that send a wonderful message to her young fans.

@May: Rihanna will have to live with those pictures of her beaten face and the memory of his brutal attack for the rest of her life. Maybe when she is a bit older she will recognize his brutality for the heinous act it was and wish she had not been quite so forgiving. Not to mention the publicity of that horrendous night. It is only fair that Brown be expected to answer for his crime for as long as people remember those pictures. Every time he performs he should have to wear a sign that says, “I have been convicted of beating a woman.”

@Meh2

“Do not speak evil against one another, brothers. The one who speaks against a brother or judges his brother, speaks evil against the law and judges the law. But if you judge the law, you are not a doer of the law but a judge. There is only one lawgiver and judge, he who is able to save and to destroy. But who are you to judge your neighbor?” James 4:11-12

“Judge not, that you be not judged. For with the judgment you pronounce you will be judged, and with the measure you use it will be measured to you. Why do you see the speck that is in your brother’s eye, but do not notice the log that is in your own eye? Or how can you say to your brother, ‘Let me take the speck out of your eye,’ when there is the log in your own eye? You hypocrite, first take the log out of your own eye, and then you will see clearly to take the speck out of your brother’s eye.” Matthew 7:1-5

Now I was raised by 3 women, so I am at no time condoning abuse physically, emotionally or spiritually towards women. However, I believe in the quotes above. We all make mistakes, some learn and change for the better, some don’t learn and change for the worse. He was very young, and a victim to a very bad upbringing. Let’s see what he does with the second half of his life, now that he has the opportunity to remove himself from that evil and create his own good.

But in the grand scheme of things, no one really cares if you, or anyone for that matter, forgives Chris Brown. God does.

Thank you, I’ve recently been searching for information approximately this subject for ages and yours is the best I’ve came upon so far. But, what concerning the bottom line? Are you certain about the source?|What i don’t understood is in truth how you’re not actually a lot more well-appreciated than you might be now. You’re very intelligent.
