Hailee Steinfeld Covers 'Company' August 2013

Hailee Steinfeld works the camera on the cover of Company magazine’s August 2013 issue, on newsstands July 10.

On being comfortable in her own skin: “For teenagers – and I mainly speak for myself on this one – you’re put into this adult world and it’s scary as anything can happen at any moment, but I’m just thankful my parents have raised me the way they have. I feel really confident just being me. I think a lot of the young actresses out there are the same – they’ve got really good backgrounds and families. We’re just doing what we love and we’re only doing it for that reason.”

On playing opposite Douglas Booth in Romeo & Juliet: “As well as the chemistry is between us, he was passionate about the project and took it seriously.”

On her love of fashion: “People ask me If I’ve always been into fashion and my immediate answer is, ‘yes’, but my way of being into fashion before all of this was going through a magazine and saying, ‘I love this dress,; and cutting it out and putting it up on my wall. But now, it’s like so, so crazy and on such a different level ”and I have the honour of meeting all these incredible designers. Being the face of Miu Miu is something I still can’t comprehend. It was such an incredible experience and fashion has become such a huge part of me on a real level.”

    She so sexy

I think this girl is way more talented than Chloe Moretz, and yet the industry, or just the people in general, doesn’t make such a hype as they do with Moretz… I don’t know why.

@Lexi: i agree on everything you said but theres much more than just talent that hailee surpasses chloe in. chloe is cute but i think hailee will grow to be the more beautiful one once they both reach adulthood. hailee also has much better fashion sense than chloe does, hailee always nails it on the red carpet when chloe is the hit or miss type. the thing that chloe has is that shes really confident maybe a little too confident. i think hailee is confident yet her dialogue in interviews doesn’t translate as arrogance like chloe’s interviews sometimes. hailee seems more assertive in her work yet humble and sweet towards others when shes given recognition.

I totally agree with you both #5 and #6, especially in the arrogance thing. Chloe’s Nylon interview, when she was on the cover, is full of arrogance. And I must add that Chloe seems to want to grow too fast, and with Hailee seems that she’s enjoying being sixteen.

I would love to hear where all this arrogance is in her Nylon interview. Is it where she says she’s worked incredibly hard to get where she is and she plans on staying out of trouble as a result? Really, it’s too bad this is two months old because it would be interesting to see you folks defend your unsupported assertions.
