Beyonce Glitters 'Flaunt' Magazine's Latest Issue!

Beyonce Glitters 'Flaunt' Magazine's Latest Issue!

Beyonce shows off her sparkling torso on the cover of Flaunt magazine’s latest issue.

Here’s what the 31-year-old entertainer had to share with the mag:

On criticism she’s received for working with Pepsi: “Pepsi is a brand I’ve grown up seeing my heroes collaborate with. The company respects musicians and artistry. I wouldn’t encourage any person, especially a child, to live life without balance. When you work out, take care of your body, rehearse as hard as I rehearsed in the commercial, I think it’s great to have a Pepsi or Diet Pepsi when you want one. It’s all about choices.”

On keeping her life private: “I have chosen to keep certain aspects of my life private. But I also love sharing what makes me happy, especially through photography.”

On her fans helping with charity: “They are engaged in making a difference. We have collected tons of donations that will go towards creating jobs and helping people get jobs. That’s something I want to celebrate. For Chime for Change we raised awareness and over $4 million in one day for equal rights for girls everywhere. So many people at that concert were young. They are more socially responsible than they get credit for.”

    Ugly shot.

    No, Beyonce. You’re working with Pepsi because they’re paying you lots of money– $50 mil. There’s no job you won’t take if the price isn’t right.

    You’re a money grubber.

    You are not Whitney, Aretha, Lauryn Hill, or anyone so talented. You are considered talented, because your peers (Britney, etc) are not talented, and compared to them, you are. But, you will never garner the same respect as the aforementioned women.

    @ler:
    Wanna talk racism???????? I have a son that is part black. I wanted to tell you that up front so you don’t think I’m racist.
    Fact is, Beyonce recently called for a moment of silence for Travyon who was a young black who was killed in Florida by a Hispanic/White. Let’s face it. She would not have done so for anyone of any other race. And that IS racist. Oh, I’m not white by the way. I’m American Indian. My people were here long before anyone else’s.
    While I am at it I was wondering. Did you know what race of people sold the Africans to the slave traders? It was Africans. Yep. Some warred against other tribes and that’s how it went. They would hit villages, or kidnap them while working their crops, tending their animals, traveling, or hunting. Have you heard of the author Alex Haley and his book Roots? If not read it. It’s a true story. He is a black man who was able to trace his ancestry and he wrote about it.
    Our world has no room for racism of any kind from any one. Nor should wars be fought because of religious differences or greed.
    But I will tell you this. Beyonce is not one of my favorite human beings because of her racist attitude. Just remember how they treated people in the hospital when her and Jay Z had their baby girl.
    Unfortunately, their is racism and it isn’t just on one side. Heck, the doctor who devised the first, safe, way of transfusing blood was in a car accident down south. He was black. No hospital would take him in to give him that life saving transfusion because they were all white hospitals and the blacks hospital was far away. Another book to read….”Black Like Me”. It’s about a white man who dyed his skin black and went south to live so he could experience for himself what life as a black man would be. Then there is, “To Kill A Mockingbird” which isn’t true but that book {and the award winning movie} brought racism to the fore during a time when it was dangerous to do so. Gregory Peck played Atticus Finch, a lawyer who defended a black man accused of “sullying” a poor white girl when in fact he didn’t. Yes, blacks have been mistreated. But so were the Jewish, Americans, and my own people, and many others. Black folk don’t have a corner market on being mistreated.People of all races are still being mistreated. And that is why commanding a moment of silence for Travyon p’ssed me off. She used the death of that poor kid for her own ends and she proved that she is indeed a racist black woman who shows her big booty in gold for lots of money {which if I had gotten paid that much I probably would have too and I’m huge} who only encourages more racism. She should take some of that money and help ALL people of EVERY race and our earth in any way she can. But first she needs to come down off her high horse and be a human being.
    I mean no disrespect to you. Nor to anyone else. But the facts are the facts and they are in/on reputable online sites, newspapers and magazines. Also, in many of the books I have suggested. And there are plenty more of those. Read what happened to the American Indians. They too were sold into slavery.
    But if none of this had happened we would not be the people we are today. What needs to happen is for us all to become color blind and treat each other with respect and consideration. And try to be the best human beings we can be as a whole as well as on our own. Best wishes. ~D~
