    Lovely couple :)

  • Jen

Some great pics..but the news’s a bit too late?

  • Launa

    Sad it’s not a movie….

  • Alex

Got my tix with my mom! Can’t wait!

  • Maria

    @Jen:
Already seen these promo pics, but it’s worth seeing many times.

  • Sarah

Hmm…I have to book my CHEAP flight to New York….

  • Monica

They are incredibly talented and just really genuine people. … In something so simple as photo and a couple of facts, you can actually see why these people are so great … Such a gorgeous and supremely talented couple!

  • Amy

I wonder how Daniel feels his wife kisses another guy under his very eyes!!

  • Rachel Girl

They’re actors who have professional skills, but, yes..there is no logical solution to it.

  • Emma

LOVE HIM ღ Adorable Couple ღ

  • Amy

    @Rachel Girl:
If I were him, I would be a little shaken up during the play. No one can be an actor without a certain unsoundness of mind. I’ll never become a good actor. lol

  • Jess

The story line looks a bit like “Obsession”?

  • Irvina

I really need him in my life, can someone please give me any advice? :-)

  • katelyn

they seem like a really genuine couple, love them!

  • Jess

@Irvina: My advice: eat a lot and sleep a lot. see his pics/movies sometime.

  • Anna

Just found out that Daniel Craig and Rachel Weisz are married!!! I feel like I’ve been living under a rock. OMFG.

  • Magda

I’d love to see the play, however the idea of a wife cheating on DANIEL CRAIG with some other guy seems preposterous and totally unbelievable :) What woman would pay attention to other guys if she were married to Daniel?????? No way!

  • Eve

    @Amy:

Well, another guy can kiss Rachel on stage, but Daniel can kiss her anywhere he wants :)

  • ♚Bloody♚

I have to admit, Daniel Craig and Rachel Weisz have become my favorite couple. Both are supremely talented, down-to-earth, beautiful, and their love is ridiculously sweet and real.

  • Rie

    @Jess:
I think it has rather a similarity with TGWTDT. Erika is married to Greger, an artist, but she has long had an affair with Mikael, a publisher. Greger knows everything, approves of their relationship. They all know how to keep a balance themselves.

  • Skyfall As The Biggest Selling

James Bond movie Skyfall romped home as the biggest selling video in the first half of 2013, while Game Of Thrones and Mrs Browns Boys dominated the TV box set market, according to latest Official Charts Company data.

The Official Charts Company – which compiles the UK’s industry recognised video charts (comprising sales on all formats including DVD and Blu-ray) – has released the biggest seller lists at half-way point through the year, with Bond, Mrs Brown and the Stark family leading the way.

Skyfall is the biggest selling title of any kind on video, but is also the biggest selling DVD, the biggest selling blu-ray and the biggest selling film on video – with total sales in excess of 2.8m units over the six month period. Skyfall was the only title to sell more than 2 million units, with The Hobbit, Les Miserables and The Twilight Saga Breaking Dawn Part 2 also selling over 1 million copies.

The TV video market was dominated by Game Of Thrones and Mrs Brown’s Boys, which claimed six places in the half-yearly Official TV Video Top 10 between them. Mrs Brown’s Boys was the biggest TV video of the half-year, followed by Game Of Thrones’ second season. The two TV franchise’s biggest competitor was The Big Bang Theory, whose Seasons 1-5 release was the 6th biggest seller of the period.

Official Charts Company chief executive Martin Talbot says, “The strength of Skyfall, Game Of Thrones and Mrs Brown’s Boys (not to mention other big sellers such as The Hobbit, Life Of Pi, Les Miserables and Twilight Breaking Dawn 2) shows that DVD and blu-ray continues to be a hugely popular entertainment format – either as a personal treat or a gift.”

The full half-yearly charts (which are based on sales of videos from week 1 to week 26 of this year – up to the end of Saturday June 29) are outlined below.

  • Magda

    @Fio:

I read it, very interesting, those two are definitely on the same wavelength. Great interview, Daniel asked very good questions, I’m surprised at what a good interviewer he is! He’s not only gorgeous, but also very intelligent. I always knew he was intelligent and well-read, but interviewing must be difficult and he did a great job.

  • Guinness

I love this…. if Radiohead were a person, it would be Neil Young.
Bluddy brilliant. AND will someone tell people and Dan, that he ain’t way up in NY state….. you are way up in NY state when you are 5 miles from Canadian border. He is in the posh Catskills. He ain’t in the boonies.

I am blown away at his writing–so totally out of my league… I love all the words he used… I wish I can use connote in a sentence. dang–he should write.
anyway,,, it is hotter than well, my car thermometer said 102 degrees–which is 54 degrees in English-talk… this was when I first got in it and it was sitting in the sun all day. so, melting melting. stay cool everyone– I know that is hard to do here cuz Dan is so hot……… ciao

Impressive start for Mr. and Mrs. Craig!

    Bond market shows good return

It’s only summer, but we can already crown this season’s box- office champ.

Cue the gun barrel and the surf-rock guitar riff: 007’s the man with the golden box office.

Tickets for the upcoming Broadway revival of “Betrayal,” starring Daniel Craig and his wife, Rachel Weisz, have been on sale for just two weeks, and the take is reaching $5 million.

No other new show is even close. Sources say the Harold Pinter play will likely be sold out by the time it plays its first performance Oct. 1.

Directed by Mike Nichols, “Betrayal” opens Nov. 3 at Nichols’ favorite Broadway theater, the Barrymore, and will run just 14 weeks.
This is Craig’s second go-around as a box-office dynamo. When he teamed with Hugh Jackman in “A Steady Rain,” they grossed more than $1 million every week. The cop drama was pretty dreary, but that didn’t dent the profits: It recouped its $2.5 million costs in a little over a month and went on to make another $2 million or so in profits.

“Betrayal” appears to be on track to make even more.

One of Pinter’s best-known — and most accessible — plays, it’s about a couple whose marriage comes apart when she has an affair with her husband’s best friend. The brilliant gimmick is that story is told in reverse chronological order, a sort of “Merrily We Roll Along” for the brainy set.

In this production, the best friend will be played by Rafe Spall, an up-and-coming British actor making his Broadway debut.

“Betrayal” is almost always a hit. The first production, in 1978, opened at the National Theatre and was a sellout for months. It starred Michael Gambon, Daniel Massey and Penelope Wilton.

On Broadway, the play ran nearly 200 performances in 1980 and helped launch Raul Julia’s career. His co-stars were Blythe Danner and Roy Scheider.

There was a fine revival at the Roundabout in 2000 starring Juliette Binoche (gorgeous), Liev Schreiber (intense) and John Slattery (silver-haired and “Mad Man”-ish).
“Betrayal” is autobiographical. As Pinter admitted to critic Michael Billington, he based it on his seven-year affair with Joan Bakewell, a popular TV personality in England. She was married, at the time, to Pinter’s friend, producer Michael Bakewell.

Pinter was married to actress Vivien Merchant. She, too, was having an affair. What a randy set of Brits!

Nichols, who won a Tony last year for his revival of “Death of a Salesman,” led the actors in a workshop earlier this summer. He likes to go through the play and analyze the scenes with the actors, so that everybody’s on the same page when actual rehearsals begin.

I heard the workshop went extremely well, and Nichols may be on track to pick up yet another Tony — his 10th.

“Betrayal,” by the way, will go head-to-head with another Pinter play this fall — “No Man’s Land,” starring Patrick Stewart and Ian McKel len. It’s a lot murkier than “Betrayal,” but it casts a creepy spell.

A Pinter feast in the fall: Serious-minded theatergoers have a lot to look forward to.

My show-queen credentials have been revoked.

As several readers pointed out in e-mails, I misplaced the song “I Will Never Leave You” in last week’s column about a revival of “Side Show.”

It does not end the first act. It is, in fact, the 11 o’clock number at the end of the show.

Now that I’ve cleared that up, I’m going to try and reclaim my credentials by listening to the original recording of “Gypsy” over and over again.

I love the way Jack Klugman sings “Rose’s Turn.”

  • Fio

    Hi, Magda
Yeah, Daniel has an uncanny sense of what others feel, and has a magnificent sense of humor. ALWAYS.
    Hi, Guinness
Your rendition of that is absolutely spot on… :)

  • Mendel

Great pictures – worth looking at again and again…

    Hi Fio,

what a great article! Thanks!!! I’m not really into Radiohead, although I have one of their albums somewhere…so maybe I’ll dig it out again and think of Dan (mind you, it was quite depressing, so maybe Muse is better, since their stuff is quite Bond-ian)

    Hi Guinness

” And our ground is saturated with water from rain every day.”

What rain??? Ain’t seen no rain here for a long time…(not gloating, not gloating, not gloating…)

“I am blown away at his writing–so totally out of my league… ”

Your writing is great, too, so keep it up!!!

But yes, I am surprised he writes so well, considering that he said himself somewhere that he isn’t really the intellectual type. But he reads a lot, and if you want to write well, you should not only write a lot, but also read a lot.

But how sexy is that…he’s hot in his birthday suit and also good with a pen… *grin*

  • Guinness

Yo Yo Yo Men-doll!!! Hiya Fio!! thx for the posts!!
You like my writings because they are Naughty naughty!!! Seriously, I have to read more because that is what Dan said, and I really can’t use connote in a sentence!!!!
so, I was thinking of posting my garden on here because I already posted it on fb and it is freaking rockin. I NEVER ever thought I could grow anything! so, its pretty and then I thought of how I would garden Dan’s flowers….mmmmm, I got distracted thinking about plowing through my fields… or him fertilizing my flower bed… or pollinating my iris… and watering my gardenias… and weeding his petals… whew.. hot. Much more before I almost wrecked my car. BUT, alas, I am not prepared to post tonight. maybe later I will post it. BUT then I thought of Elton John’s Empty GArden song–my bro had it on the flip side of a 45 we listened to over and over. Know it?
wow…a Britishwannabe… daughter learned what football was in England–she had a British camp counselor.
All these things are signs. Signs that I think too fricken much!!!
Is Dan up for a professional role???

Due to overwhelming demand, the Barrymore Theatre box office (243 West 47th Street) will open early, for one week only, on Monday, July 29 at 10:00 am through Sunday, August 4 at 6:00 pm, for tickets to Harold Pinter’s Betrayal, starring Daniel Craig, Rachel Weisz, and Rafe Spall, and directed by ten-time Tony Award-winner Mike Nichols. Hi Guinness

“You like my writings because they are Naughty naughty!!!”

You know me far too well ;)

“I thought of how I would garden Dan’s flowers….mmmmm, I got distracted thinking about plowing through my fields… or him fertilizing my flower bed… or pollinating my iris… and watering my gardenias… and weeding his petals… whew.. hot.”

    LOL!!!

“I thought of Elton John’s Empty GArden song–my bro had it on the flip side of a 45 we listened to over and over. Know it?”

It sounds familiar, but thinking about Dan fertilising things has turned my brains to mush…I am thinking of the birds and the bees and big stems…

Love your garden, those cool flamingos and flowers!

    Hi Fio,

“The boy looks like Daniel’s son or the Royal baby!”

He does look like Dan’s son (something you want to tell us, Dan?). I am totally Royal baby-ed out! And how could they call the poor thing George???

Dan can be King of my Castle anytime…*grin*

Are you going to see Betrayal?

  • Tigerlilly

i live in Spilsby and have heard the rumours about Daniel buying Dalby Hall, but i’ll believe it when i see it. Why would he want all that land and property when he doesn’t even live in the UK? Is he going to retire from acting and take up farming, fishing and shooting???

  • Fio

    Cool…

“Why would he want all that land”
Haha. Yeah, as you say, there are many rumors about his house.
Someone tweets he has bought a house in Harrogate, Linton, Driffield, Lapworth, Beverley, Bridgwater, Lincolnshire… and MORE (even Kalkan in Turkey!) lol
I can hardly believe their story.
“Is he going to retire from acting and take up farming, fishing and shooting???”
    LOL
    Like Mr. Kincade? :)
It’s too early for him to retire. By the time he retires he will work for almost thirty years!!

  • Guinness

yes Fio, I will help you grow a Dan and I will help wack his weeds…(weed-wacker…see what I did there… ??) anyway, I will fertilize his bed if needed too–just to get you going, of course!!
And Mendel–yes, I love the absurd in the middle of beauty, hence the tacky flamingos–they visit the garden knome with the shiney red hat!!!
And , no, I don’t think I can make Betrayal—it was difficult last time–so many arrangements, wtf, I am complaining..if I go, it is going to be last minute decision–$$ and timeing…. whatever. But if you go, I will go. you can crash on one of my sisters couches…it would be fab!!
I gotto rest now… had a scare Friday night—funny, you would never had known—but something unusual happened and here I sit. too young for it, but alas, life is fleeting. I bought Dan a drink in my crazy looped up dream–that’s how stupid I am right now… so, I will probably be awake again all night–not easy sleeping in hospitals…write anyone if you want. I know the other dan-site is awake. sometimes I wish I could go back. but insanity is everywhere and I would just shoot my opinions off again.
ok. not my blog. Dan is good, Dan is great, he has a really big big snake!!! yeeee haw.ciao. hey is this site even working???

Steven Bauer on his role in ‘Ray Donovan’ and why ‘Scarface’: ‘Was such a pariah of a movie’

    - Are there any British actors or directors that you would like to work with?

I’m very fond of the British cinema. I’m a big fan of Martin Campbell and Daniel Craig. I actually find Daniel very inspirational, especially on the physical side of things. He really inspired me to get back into shape when I started to add on a few pounds. I think he’s a great role model.

    - So what about the possibility of a role in the next Bond installment?

I would love to be big enough for a role in the next Bond film [laughs]. I’m not too keen on playing the big bad villain, but I wouldn’t mind being one of Bond’s helpers.

Maybe he wants to join the landed gentry. Seat in the House of Lords next? ;)
Seriously, maybe he sees it as an investment or buys it for somebody else, but I would only believe it when it is definitely confirmed.

    Hi Fio,

love the pic and also the dancer!

“they visit the garden knome with the shiney red hat!!!”

Hahahaha, be aware of the angry garden gnomes!!!

“I bought Dan a drink in my crazy looped up dream–that’s how stupid I am right now… so, I will probably be awake again all night–not easy sleeping in hospitals…”

When are they letting you out? Need a Bond-style rescue (helicopter, submarine, parkour?)
