Kate Middleton Baby Watch: Who is at the Hospital for Birth?

Kate Middleton is currently in labor with her first child with husband Prince William and people from around the world are waiting for news on the Royal Baby’s birth!

The 31-year-old Duchess of Cambridge was joined by Will as they made their way from Kensington Palace to St. Mary’s Hospital just before 6 am on Monday morning (July 22). He is reportedly the only member of the royal family who will be at the hospital for the birth.

Kate‘s mom Carole and her younger sister Pippa Middleton have reportedly made their way to the hospital already.

Will‘s younger brother Prince Harry is currently at his base with the Apache Army Air Corps squadron and their dad Prince Charles is expected for some public engagements today.

It was confirmed that Queen Elizabeth II was notified of the news. She is however not at Buckingham Palace at the moment, but rather at Windsor Castle in Berkshire, according to NBC News. There are some reports out there that William will eventually give his grandmother a phone call via an encrypted line to inform her of the baby’s birth, rather than the normal protocol of her being hand-delivered a note.
