Teen Beach, a Disney Channel original movie, premiered to a stellar 8.4 million viewers last Friday, which bested High School Musical‘s 7.7 million from its January 2006 premiere.

“I loved being a part of a family,” Garrett shared with us about filming TBM, “We’re all really close, I had a lot of fun.”
