Miranda Kerr Reveals Her No Stretch Mark Secret!

Miranda Kerr arrives at the airport to catch a flight on Wednesday (July 24) in Tokyo, Japan.

The 30-year-old model recently chatted about how she kept stretch marks away while pregnant with her son Flynn.

“Actually, I used the rosehip oil throughout my entire pregnancy and I don’t have a single stretch mark – I had a ten-pound baby,” Miranda said (via Glamour). “It’s really nourishing and full of antioxidants and essential fatty acids.”

Earlier in the week, Miranda launched her Kora Organics line in Tokyo.

FYI: Miranda is wearing Bionda Castana shoes.

A person’s predisposition to things like stretch marks and cellulite is genetic. Creams and essential oils can only improve the appearance of the skin by moisturizing it. This idiot doesn’t know what she’s talking about.

  • LOL

LOL this girl never takes a day of from selling her stuff doesn’t she. I’m somewhat surprised that she hasn’t got a tube of Whora sticking inconspicuously out of her purse as usual.

  • Alaia

I get real famewhóre vibes. She’s always dressed like a generic trendwhóre.

  • yawn

Lol! I guess it’s supposed to be fascinating and incredible she didn’t get stretch marks. Then my sisters should be worshipped because they didn’t use any kind of cream to prevent stretch marks and their bodies are free of them.
I can’t understand why she’s saying it like she’s the first woman to not get them.

  • Rach

There always seems to be this air of snugness about her.

  • yawn

She sounds more intelligent with her mouth shut

  • True

    VAIN. Silly. Stupid.

  • Sam

Wow what a bunch of bitter girls here. She got asked and she gave an answer, no need to insult her because she answered a question.

  • nice

    @yawn: well said.
Same for me, without using any oil.

  • tialee

Suggesting that rose hip oil , or any oil or cream for that matter, will prevent stretch marks is ignorant, uneducated and downright false advertising. They’re caused by genetics. Miranda is perpetuating the stupid old wives tale to sell her product, and, yes, SAM, people should be annoyed with her for it.

  • dtwisted

I agree Rachel….Miranda Kerr is snug. Very snug!

  • dtwisted

amen Sam. how much you wanna bet all the commenters are girls who are mad cause their boyfriend thinks Miranda Kerr is hotter than they are. how dare she be that way. haha

  • danielle

well i lov her… and her shoes

    SHE GOT ASKED. -.-”

  • VIP

Look up snug vs smug in the dictionary, please.
Anyway, Miranda Kerr is a very sweet girl. I know this because my friend, failed model, used to go to casting calls in Sydney with her when Kerr was a nobody. She’s actually really modest about herself, and I think she’s just trying to be positive when she talks about herself at all. Check uot some of her interviews; she’s actually really lowkey.

And you guys need to read up on rosehip oil. Scientific studies prove that it does help with scarring etc. 60 per cent of what you put on the skin is absorbed into the bloodstream; the skin isn’t just an impenetrable layer. So plz do your research.

Today on Keeping Up With The Kerrdashians: Miranda Kerrdashian dresses up for long flights because if her husband Orlando Kerrdashian, who dresses like a troll nine and a half days out of ten, sees that she isn’t wearing heels and makeup all day everyday and catches her in comfy clothes he’ll make a break for it. Also, M lies about all of the post-baby work she had done and credits it all to crazy oils and creams and hippy dippy woo.

  • @VIP

Please, do YOUR research. That 60% load of bull is just that. Bull. I know your goddess Miranda preaches it, but she is wrong, wrong, wrong.

    Read this:

The gist: “So bearing all this in mind it is impossible to believe that 60% of what you apply to the skin gets through to your bloodstream. I don’t know what the true figure is. It might be a couple of percent. If I was basing it purely on my own work I’d put the figure below 1%.”

I know you want to think that Miranda’s degrees are real and all of the woo she preaches it true but…it’s not. Most of what comes out of her mouth is wrong. Pseudoscience. And dangerous.

  • VIP

@#17 Please check out these links. Government studies, peer reviewed. 60 per cent to 100 per cent. Not pseudoscience, sorry to disappoint. Many more links on the net.

Green eyes monsters hating on Miranda!

“Your skin is enough of a barrier to keep fluids within your body,” writes Samuel Epstein, MD, and author of Toxic Beauty (BenBella Books, 2009), “but it also readily absorbs many things with which it comes in contact.”

“Chemicals can be absorbed through skin and into the blood stream, causing toxic effects,” says the Extension Toxicology Network (EXTOXNET). The Chemical Hazards Handbook from the London Hazards Centre Trust has similar information: “Although the skin acts as a protective barrier against many micro-organisms and chemicals, some chemicals can penetrate the skin and enter the blood stream.” Researcher Linda Chaé, agrees, citing the danger to unborn children: “Recent studies by dermatologists at the University of California and a multiple university cooperative team confirm that skin absorption is the major route of entry [for chemicals from skin or hair products getting into the womb].”

  • VIP

Sorry, but you’re wrong. You’ve provided some really dodgy sources that aren’t scientific studies. Those government departments and university research bodies aren’t there to sell a scary message or products! Facts are facts! Ignore them at your own peril! By the way, you anti-Miranda Kerr people are SCARY! Like, mental-problem-I-need-intervention scary!

  • VIP

@@VIP: I read the studies, not the headlines. You read dubious opinions that are not based on peer-reviewed scientific studies.

  • @VIP

Woo. Just like that claptrap your goddess believes about the happy words on her bottles making the water inside happy and then the happy water gets absorbed into your skin making you happy and beautiful. All woo, all the time. You go on and live on Planet Miranda and believe all of her pseudoscience but here on planet earth, we will not. Cya.

  • ?

Uhmmm, if things don’t penetrate through the skin into the lower layers and the bloodstream, how do medication patches work????

  • @16 (idiot stalker)

Are you talking about the breast implants that you idiots claimed that had? You know, the ones that mysteriously disappeared when Flynn was weaned?
Or are you talking about the super special invisible tummy tuck that left absolutely no scar that you also claimed that she had?
    Which one?
    Soooooo stupid.

  • If only a 1% of creams or any substance managed to cross the skin barrier, all Dermatologists would lose their job.
Anyway, she’s just giving advice to prevent the appearance of stretch marks. She isn’t saying it’s 100% accurate, she’s only saying it worked for her. Follow her advice or don’t, but don’t make this any bigger than what it is.

  • liars

One thing that pisses me off about Miranda’s fans is, they think she’s this flawless god that never says or does anything wrong. Like can you people grow up? It’s the baseless defending that sometimes drive people to be on ‘team haters’ I’m sure.

  • @26

So it bugs you that some of Miranda’s fans think that she is flawless, but you think that it is ok for haters to fund fault in EVERYTHING that she does? Even to the point of condemning her support of charities?
Sure. That makes a lot of sense. Hypocrite.

  • Oh please…

Talk about “haters” over-reacting in order to insult Miranda.

Miranda was being interviewed by “Into the gloss” a site about beauty products. They ask celebrities what products they use, beauty must haves, what’s in their bathroom cupboard & pics of their make up tables.

It gave a good insight into what Miranda uses everyday.

During the interview she was asked about what SHE used during HER pregnancy.

She wasn’t telling anyone what THEY should or shouldn’t do.

Miranda used Kora Organics Rosehip oil.

I think Rosehip oil is an ingrediant in Retinol, not sure.

Regardless “haters” will use ANY excuse to attack Miranda no matter what she says, does or wears!
