Yes nice lady and she’s a solid hardworking actress..she deserves it.

HUGE fan of the book, and a HUGE fan of Fincher. Never really heard of Rosamund before, but if Fincher thinks she’s good enough to play Amy, then she’s good enough for me! :)

  • saadgkhan

No .. seems like Fincher wanted this project to be low profile intentionally and never wanted a high profile actors.. though the story is terrific and if good performances deliver Oscar nod for sure. Rosmanda pike is nice but as an actress she hasn’t proved much maybe this will be breakthrough though I still wanted Rachel McAdams to get the part :/

I would be very happy about this choice if the leading man were somebody else. Rosamund Pike is awesome. I loved her in Pride and Prejudice. I hope the movie won’t ruin the book. If the reviews aren’t excellent, I’m not watching. I don’t want to have to sit through a Ben Affleck movie. Is he a good enough actor to make me forget he’s Ben Affleck? I certainly hope the director will make a difference.

GREAT choice. Believable couple as they are both so beautiful.

I also would have been happy with Emily Blunt- I recently saw that movie where she was Queen Victoria and the quality of her acting really surprised me. I guess I always assumed/thought she was just a pretty face.

  • Leni

    I like it!

  • kat

She was as wooden as a board in “Jack Reacher” — I hope they pick someone who can handle the role better than that!

i guess the casting couch works

  • danielle

i like her! not very excited w ben affleck…

  • Alaia

She’s a very underrated actress. Affleck’s not the greatest actor, but she has the better role here. I’d be more worried if he had an interesting role. He doesn’t. Finally, PIke is getting her big break in Hollywood. Boy, does she deserve it. She played supporting roles in Pride & Prejudice and An Education watching Keira Knightley and Carey Mulligan catapult into stardom, so I hope it will be her big breakthrough, just like Rooney Mara in The Girl with the Dragon Tattoo.

  • DillPickle

Rosamunde Pike looks like a blonde version of Jennifer Garner.

  • starsh

Pike is a fab English actress who has put in years of work. I wouldn’t go on Jack Reacher: she had nothing to do! She will do a good job and its a fab role with room for great characterisation. The husband/Affleck? Who knows. I don’t have much investment in that character and Affleck should do fine.

  • Louise

Huge fan of the book and Ben Affleck. Thank goodness Reese is not playing the wife. Reese is such a pathetic actress and looks like a mutt.

  • Alice

Beautiful and underrated actress…this is her chance. I think she was great in her minor roles in Jack Reacher and Fracture.
    She’ll do good.

  • kami

i love rosamund pike. she’s a great actress.

  • maria

@snap crackle pop: Please Emily Blunt is an excellent actress I hope she never works with Ben he is a terrible actor, plus he might fall In love with her lol.

no role should of gone to natalie or charlie!!

  • Hh

This casting is perfect, if going by the book. Affleck is the charming, handsome, all American guy, who I can see could read as not quite as intelligent and cunning as Pike, which is needed for him to make the mistakes he does believably. She’s the patrician, classy, type A blonde, daughter of the authors of the Amazing Amy books, that is 10 steps ahead of her semi-dope husband at all times, but who can convey the vulnerability/fragility to make us question the whole scenario. This is great casting.

  • Cate

Rosamund is a great actress and so underrated. Very happy for her getting the role.

Wow!! I’m not familiar with this actress, but I love the fact that she is a British.

Hoping that Ben proves to all the doubters, that he is worthy of acting and will execute his part perfectly!!

    All the best~

    Searching For Ben Affleck KICKSTARTER

    Searching For Ben Affleck
My name is Anthony Terracciano, I’m in the movie Argo, if you’ve seen it, you’ve seen me but my name isn’t on my performance. Nobody knows it’s me because Argo didn’t give me a credit at the end of the film, not only that, IMDb won’t recognize me for my work in Argo, they won’t even list me as an “uncredited” actor in the film. That is why I set out to make this film, I believe Ben Affleck is a good person and when he is made aware of this small injustice that he will intervene and help me get the credit I deserve on IMDb. My friends and I went everywhere trying to get this interview with Ben, we went to movie premieres, parties, restaurants, etc..All in hopes of talking with Ben or meeting someone who will help us get closer to reaching Ben and talking with him about this injustice. As an interesting side-note, not only am I not credited for my performance, I helped choreograph and improvise the scene with Ben Affleck, we rehearsed it four times and got it in three takes. You know, I worked 12 hours on the film Argo that day and I made less than $100, I don’t get any residual checks and no one knows it’s me. This is a true injustice in the world of Hollywood movie making and when I get my interview with Ben Affleck we will see how he reacts, will he help me get my well deserved credit? Will he not care? Watch the film and find out.
