Tom Brady Covers 'Men's Health' September 2013

Tom Brady is looking good on the cover of Men’s Health‘s September 2013 issue, on newsstands August 6.

Here’s what the 35-year-old football star had to share with the mag:

On his goal in life: “I just want to help people. It’s so frustrating for me to see athletes not being able to do what they really love to do. And I’m like, God, it’s not that hard. It’s really not. Guys work really hard, but if you work hard at the wrong things, you just don’t get the results you want.”

On not being stopped by limits: “There’s really an excitement I have to do this for as long as I possibly can. Even though everyone out there puts a limit. But I’ve always had people put limits. And I’m a person who says, ‘Well, screw limits.’ I’m not putting a limit on myself.”

On his thoughts on a daily basis: “All my thoughts on a daily basis go into how I can sustain the length of my career. What I eat. How I sleep. My levels of stress. Why? Because I love football.”

Refreshing interview… no questions about Gisele (whom I’m a big fan of), or being a dad, or whatever other predictable topic interviewers keep pushing nowadays… just sports… cool!

    NENE Says:

@ Lola who do you think you are , calling someone gay just because he has looks, money , fame, success and a beautiful family.. He has kids and a family , you can’t be calling people names when you have NOTHING to back it up.

    nyob Says:

Crazy hot and seems nice enough, but I am a bit surprised that there was no mention of his kids in response to a question about his thoughts. Hopefully he has a “kids are off limits” rule to explain this answer.

@he needs some glasses: He wears glasses! I was thinking: What do you mean? SUNglasses or glasses? I didn’t know… I just googled it. He doesn’t look bad with glasses, but he looks better without it.

    @Pretty Ka:
I agree, interview refreshing for avoiding the trite questions of his (famous) wife and kids.
It must be so weird to work your ass off for your job and then one day all your work is over. Period. You never get to do the thing you love most again. I think it would mess with my head. I wonder what his career backup plan is for the second half of his life?

looks good in business suits plus he got good family values,… Should think about running for public office or something , maybe a senate seat or a governorship.

    British Latin American Says:

@nyob: Not everyone obsesses over their kids or expects strangers to obsess over their children.

    Jessie Says:

It’s going to extremely difficult for him when his career is over. It doesn’t seem like he has a plan going forward if that happens. There’s nothing wrong with loving what you do, but you have to prepare for what comes after.

Ball clubs are for winning championship and he hasn’t won one since he’s been married. No matter how good he WAS all teams care about is what you can do for me now. It’s only a matter of time before 1) he’s injured and has to quit b) he’s replaced and put on second string 3) he’s traded. No one stays young forever or fit for such a rugged sport forever.

He can always have a job as a sportscaster or one of those guys doing sport analysis, but the end will come, probably in the next 3 years.
