Bradley Cooper: Lance Armstrong in 'Red Blooded American'?

Bradley Cooper is reportedly in talks to star as Lance Armstrong in the upcoming Jay Roach-movie about the disgraced cyclist titled Red Blooded American, Deadline reports.

The 38-year-old actor, who is also in talks to produce the highly anticipated flick, could also potentially be playing Lance‘s teammate Tyler Hamilton.

Tyler was part of Lance‘s US Postal Service Team. He came forward and discussed Lance‘s steroid use on 60 Minutes.

The movie is reportedly being fast-tracked into production.

So, I’m assuming J.J. Abrams is no longer attached to this project?

  • http://veryverysexyandhandsome sharyllee

no, bradley has a pointed chin.. Lance with a good chin..

  • Milo

@DJ the JJ Abrams project is different. There are 3 different Lance Armtrong projects in development

  • DJ

@Milo: Oh, ok. I just remember there being a rumor earlier this year that J.J. Abrams was doing a movie about Lance Armstrong and Bradley was supposed to be attached to that one too.

  • Milo

@DJ: The Deadline article JJ links to talks about that a bit
    1. There’s this one, the WB one, with Jay Roach
    2. The Paramount/Bad Robot one with JJ Abrams
    3. The Working Title one with Stephen Frears starring Ben Foster

  • DJ

@Milo: Thanks. I just went over to Deadline’s website to read about it. I’m not sure this story needs three movies. I mean, he was a great cyclist, but this seem a bit much.

  • Milo

@DJ: Agreed, one or two of these will probably fall off before they get to production or, like this one, they’ll make it more about Hamilton than Armstrong to differentiate them.

  • DJ

I believe that article mentioned Bradley working on American Sniper and wanting to do The Elephant Man next year, but what happened to that chef movie he was supposed to be doing next year?

  • Lucy

Hi. Anyone from that TLR pmb here? I sent an email and I got a response but no directions on how to join. Can you email me back?

  • guest

Three movies about him? I wouldn’t go to see one. Who cares, the man lived in the spot light so not sure what else we are really going to learn.

  • Gracada

    @Lucy:

I would like to be part of the TLR mb too. I followed that long thread and despite the trolls, I liked reading the intelligent parts of the conversation. I miss AFT’s inside information. I never participated in the conversation and tend to stay quiet on message boards in general

  • @Lucy @Gracada

It is an incredibly intense application process and involves sending the blood of a virgin to AFT’s mom. You should probably find a different mb

  • Makeene

@Lucy @Gracada: Mostly read as well. You should email them again. They said they got many emails from trolls. I got accepted after emailing 2 times. I will participate on new stories and on the other board.

  • Gracada

    @Makeene:

Who do I contact and how?

  • juicy lucy

I thing a more appropriate title for the film should be, Red Blooded Cheating Lying Manipulating American.

  • Not Red Blooded

Lance Armstrong is a eurasian US citizen, just like Bradley, and not a real red-blooded American. He is not an American Armstrong, as Neil Armstrong is, which is why the Americans let him go. The Americans don’t participate in the Olympics because they never go across the ocean, they only send their citizens.

  • Drake

I prefer him to play tlYer Hamilton and Matthew m play lance.

Who is @tlr pmb and how can I join?

  • Drake

Where Bradley at right now? Still in NYC?
