Shark Attack Survivor Bethany Hamilton: Married to Adam Dirks!

Surfer and shark attack survivor Bethany Hamilton has said “I do” to her love Adam Dirks, she has confirmed on her Twitter account!

The 23-year-old surf star, whose arm got bit off by a tiger shark in 2003, and Adam, a Christian youth minister, tied-the-knot on Saturday (August 17) in Hawaii.

“Today was the most beautiful, wonderful best day of my life! God is more than good(: Excited to live life with my husband Adam Dirks!” Bethany tweeted after the nuptials.

“I’m so thankful for you and look forward to living life together! Adam, I love you and I’m here to stay!” Bethany wrote on her website earlier in the summer.

AnnaSophia Robb portrayed Bethany in the movie about her shark attack experience titled Soul Surfer.
