Prince William: First Interview Since George's Birth (Video)

Prince William speaks with CNN‘s Max Foster in his first interview since the birth of his son Prince George for the new special Prince William’s Passion: New Father, New Hope.

The 31-year-old Duke of Cambridge chatted about becoming a new father and also his passion for Africa and saving endangered species.

“I think I was on such a high anyway, and so was Catherine about George that really we were happy to show him off to whoever wanted to see him. As any new parent knows, you’re only too happy to show off your new child and, you know, proclaim that he is the best looking or the best everything,” William said. “It’s not somewhere I enjoy being, I know that the position I’m in that’s what’s required of me to do. It’s nice that people want to see George, so, you know – I’m just glad he wasn’t screaming his head off the whole way through.”

Diana would be over the moon. I think so much affection for her sons is because of who she was. They’re both so down to earth, personable and sincere about their altruism and I believe that’s who she taught them to be.

Thank goodness Kate comes from a family where “Mom and Dad” are good role models.

@Alexandrina….LOL. Parents ingrained that hatred in you from a young age I see. With any cursory search of Prince William’s lineage, it is abundantly clear that he is more British than most Brits. The Spencer family is one of (if not) the oldest families in British History. His paternal Grandfather was a Danish Greek Prince, his Grandmother, British, his Father British, His Mother (very old British family). Since Nazism took rise in Germany in 1919 and largely fell in 1945, and his Grandfather was born in Greece in 1921 , and his Grandmother born in Britain after that, how do you figure he’s an “ugly Nazi”? Unless you’re referring to Fascist ideology? Either way, to trace a family’s roots back to Germany prior to the organization of the Nazi party in 1919, and then refer to that ancestor as a Nazi makes no sense. My family left Germany over 300 years ago. Does that make me a Nazi too?
