Legendary Hollywood Writer Elmore Leonard Dead at 87

Famous Hollywood scriptwriter Elmore Leonard has passed away at the age of 87, three weeks after suffering from a stroke, according to his Facebook page.

The writer penned many famous scripts including “Get Shorty,” “3:10 to Yuma” and “Justified”.

“The post I dreaded to write, and you dreaded to read. Elmore passed away at 7:15 this morning from complications from his stroke. He was at home surrounded by his loving family.” his Facebook page read, updated by his researcher.

Elmore passed away at his home in Detroit, Mich., where he had lived since 1934.

Our thoughts go out to Elmore‘s friends and family during this tragic time.
