    Fine to see Ryan again!
Ryan is right! Fans should not give too much attention for Superhero-Roles. We have seen so much of them in the past.
What about a good drama-role in a drama? In a drama we have more emotional tension, but not in Super-Hero-Movies, I think.
On the other hand – obviously – the show must go on and on and on with Superhero-Movies. It´s like a never ending story. And unfortunately some people get addicted to these movies, if they need to identify with these Superheroes too much and if they CAN identify with them. If they look similar to the the Superheroes, the probability is higher to identify with them. And if they don´t like to identify with the superheroes, they adore them.
Mostly, it´s all about identifying or “adoring” – otherwise it´s boring.
But – of course – this is the same when it comes to other movie-genres.
If we neither can identify (at least a little bit) with one of the characters nor we can adore a single character, then we´ll say that the movie was not so interesting. And some watch a movie just because they adore the actor or actress and not not because of the roles they play.
Superhero-Movies have their right to exist, but the other movie-genres
have the same right to exist. Superhero-Movies should not be seen as
more important movies than other movies of other genres.
Ryan is right with his tweet.

  • dina

I think fans are angry because Ben Affleck is a lousy actor.

  • The Bird

  • Amy

Exactly. Did he actually read any of the tweets? There are a lot of funny ones.

  • lisa

    what a d!ck.

  • Shamrock

Seriously, from childhood until now, I never perceived the Batman character to be a superb actor. His message in films is the mysterious factor, physical appearance, gadgets, action, etc…
All the past Batman films, it was the Joker, Riddler, and Penguin that had major acting chops and executed the part extremely well.
For instance, Nicholson, Ledger, Carrey, Hathaway.
Hold on tight peeps, Affleck is going to knock your batman socks off with his delivery of BATMAN!! He will not disappoint all of you. This is a different era for him, on the up’n-up~
We r BATMAN fans and love Mr. Affleck!!

  • XxXxX

Ugh. I can’t stand him. Oh and everybody has the right to express opinions!

Ryan IS funny on twitter and his is obviously intelligent and talented but he needs to grow up and act his age. He has talent and he spends a ton of time goofing off, hanging with his very young girlfriends, out with the boys etc. He has nothing to show for his talent and opportunities.

  • Trisha

He’s so Handsome he can say and do whatever he wants, he doesn’t age!
Ben Affleck is a bad choice and history will validate this.

  • Ally

RP is not saying Ben is a bad choice. He is eye rolling at people who care too much about things like who plays Batman. He is too cool for school. I wish Ryan would get a part in a show or movie. He must be uncastable for some reason. His twitter shows he is a total party animal maybe the word is out that he is a problem to work with.

  • Me.Phillippe (Spanish)

    @Ally: Exactly.

Ryan at any time appoint Ben, or refer to his election as Batman, but the boom that has been created around that choice.

Also who follow him on Twitter knows he has a great sense of humor and is always joking and making us laugh.

    Love u Ryan ♥

  • Monae

I was mad when they announced him as Batman too! Lmao I love his tweet it’s like you seriously couldn’t find a correct option for Batman. I think they did the correct Superman with Man of Steel. But Ben as Batman? Come on come on

  • SunnyAutumn

I wouldn’t mind Ryan playing Batman with those luscious lips. Ben is a good choice, too, sexy!

  • Pattycake

Amazing that people here aren’t getting fractures jumping to conclusions about Ryan’s life and career based on his twitter feed, which clearly shows that he not only has a healthy sense of humor, but that he writes it himself instead of handing it off to a minion. BTW, if you do read his twitter it shouldn’t have escaped your notice that he’s been working for over a year on a film he wrote and directed.

  • kelly

I like Ryan now.He knows what’s important and what is not.If these comic book nerds cared about important things like world poverty, hunger etc. like they do about about imaginary people, the world be different place. The pathetic thing is I would expect this whining from 12 yr olds but they’re adults whining about a cartoon character.

  • Jack Black

Forgive Pat. She lives in a world where Ryan Phillippe is a hero in every way. His twitter and Instagram show he is a total pothead and his friends tweet about coke regularly. He hasn’t done anything of substance for years. He is only relevant because of Reese’s kids or girls he sleeps with. Also, one indy movie in two years is not a lot of “work”. But don’t bother trying to convince Pat.

  • @JackBlack
  • emmy

    hahaha he’s funny.
    he is looking hot here.
