  • Meme

This is a fantastic project, with a top notch team. Yet another clever move for Pattinson, he clearly nows what he’s doing! Very exciting.

  • ace11

    PLEASE let Rupert Sanders direct

    would love to see that

  • Ana

Yes! Sounds exciting! Can’t wait to see this!

  • Honey

He’s doing really amazingly career wise.

  • Cece

DeHaan will be perfect for Dean.

  • niagirl

Yeah for Deehaan. Too bad, he’s with RPutz. MBL must have fallen through. As long as he’s not playing James Dean. Deehaan will kill it. Love him. I guess every movie needs an ornament, thanks RPutz.

  • Kimberly

    I love it!!

  • Cate

So Dane has played Harry Osbourn and now James Dean. He’s stalking James Franco! Just kidding! I think Dane’s very talented and hope he keeps making interesting career choices and avoids becoming a pretentious douche like Franco.

  • @3

Uhm, if he knew what he was doing, his post twatlight movies wouldn’t be all flops.

  • casey

Dane should be the headline here not Rob.

  • amanda

his movies aren’t flops…they’re all small indies, they’re not supposed to make a lot of money

  • hello

@ab: You are so wrong. Remember Me and WFE earned more than 3 times their budgets. Cronenberg’s Cosmopolis had a lengthy applause at Cannes and Rob received very good reviews. Cosmopolis appeared on 25 top film of 2012 lists and on 69 top ten lists.

  • @13

Yeah, keep telling yourself that. lol

  • Sarah.

I want to see that! I hope Dane DeHaan does a good job though. I’m a big James Dean fan, so that could ruin it for me. But I’m very interested in the story!! I love Stock’s pictures of James Dean. And those of others as well, amazing.

  • Teddy VonVuten

Yes! perfect casting for both roles. Exciting indeed.

  • chill

@niagirl: MBL is doing rewrites since the film has a new director. Rob received mostly good reviews for Remember Me and WFE. Rob received many very good reviews for Cosmopolis. He is a proven talent and the top directors are interested in working with him.

  • Hopeful

Life sounds really cool and I’m impressed by the producing team who brought us The King’s Speech and Shame. Excited to see how Dane and Robert portray the friendship in this film.

  • BPositive

James Dean is a cultural icon so this film will generate serious buzz. Rob is
making impressive outside of the box film choices.

Great News ……I like it that Rob is place the iconic photographer Dennis Stock . This seems like another one of his excellent movie choices !

  • http://yahoo nicola

Dennis Stock began his long career at Magnum in 1951 shortly after winning first prize in the LIFE Magazine young photographers contest. Widely known for his intimate portraits and coverage of James Dean, Dennis covered a wide range of stories for all the major magazines, publishing at least 16 books. He was always finding the heart of the subject matter and making compelling, beautifully composed photographs that everyone of my generation grew up remembering. He was a living link to what he often called a “golden” age of photography and an inspiration to others.

Dennis made pictures that get into your head and never leave. Simple moments that articulate a whole culture. His work in jazz and covering the hippie movement are great examples. He did this with passion and grace and with an open mind and heart. This was a man who lived and breathed photography and exemplified the life well lived.

  • Noa

@@3: Lol, okay! You clearly know nothing about movies and establishing ones self after a franchise. Rob is absolutely making fantastic choices. You clearly show your agenda. Sorry sweetie.

  • Lou

Looking forward to seeing Rob work with Dane. This is a really exciting acting partnership. I’m also pleased Rob isn’t playing Dean, that perhaps would have been the more obvious choice. Plus the film is centred around Stock, making Rob the lead!

  • http://yahoo katrina

Rob has made another fantastic choice ! Looking foward to this movie and in fact all his movies .

  • http://yahoo katrina

My respect for Rob is growing every day . I really liked the interview he did for Dior . Hope he does more interviews like that he sounded so informative and in control of his life !

  • talia

    hmm sounds interesting

  • maude

Any film with Pattinson is not one I will see. Even a lot of his fans admit he is a crappy actor, they just obsess over him because he is ‘hot’.. most of them are 50+

  • Dane

    Meh

  • http://yahoo seinna

Rob has made a wise choice to play Dennis Stock , the photographer instead of James Dean .This is a more interesting . I have been looking at Dennis Stock ‘s body of work and they are beautiful , like paintings .
I am looking forward to see how Rob will play this role.

  • http://yahoo seinna

@maude: You are sounding bery ignorant . Rob can act infact he is one of the most underated actors . He was stunningly good in Cosmopolis, I really liked him in Little Ashes , water for elephants and Remember me . Watching these movies will make you change your mind about him . But i guess you just want to hate on him for living his life .

  • http://yahoo seinna

The Director of this movie is Anton Corbijn is a very talented guy . He has directed movie called Control and The American starring George Clooney. Rob is working with brilliant people . This movie should be great !

  • http://yahoo jen

A new movie for Rob ! Great news !

  • http://yahoo ashley

This going to be a period film and i love Rob in Period films . Go Rob !!

  • uh

none of Pattinson’s film were hits. He has to take this uneventful film roles because no producer wants to cast him in anything that is anything other than small budget. Twilight was the last thing he’ll ever do that has or can generate major Box Office $$, even the Dior campaign got lost in the wind. All the big build up and leak and it came out and psssst..

The odd thing is the guy in this film is an immensely talented actor. He KNOWS how to act…he’ll outshine Pattinson without even trying.

  • Lee

Robert Pattinson, our generation’s icon, plays acclaimed photographer Dennis Stock who took compelling photos of icon James Dean, played by
Dane DeHaan. This will be an amazing film.

  • http://yahoo ???

@uh: though you sound too dumb for a reply but still I will try . Robs film besides Twilight Series have made money …
Remember me – made with a budget of $16 million made 56 million
Water for Elephants -made at a budget of $38 million made $ 117 million .
Both of these films made more than 3 times of their cost so they definitely made a profit .
Bel ami also recovered its cost .

  • http://yahoo lee

Rob is so charismatic , he was the main reason twilight was such a huge success . The massive success of his Dior Ad proves his STar POwer !!

  • http://yahoo DiorRob

@twilightgirlportland.com: Love Dior Rob Too ! This movie sounds fantastic .

  • terrible

He is the worst actor among all!!

    will be shit, he sucks

  • Nina

@ace11: Oh my god, I can’t stop laughing XD

  • No & non

@maude: Rob’s fans believe he is a very talented actor, as do the acclaimed directors and actors who want to work with him. Rob’s fans range from teens up to 80 years old and they all appreciate his sexy brain, handsome looks and artistic gifts.

  • Nicole

has Rpatz started growing pu/bes yet?
