Nicole Kidman & Colin Firth: 'Railway Man' TIFF Premiere!

Nicole Kidman suits up for the premiere of her new film The Railway Man held during the 2013 Toronto International Film Festival on Friday evening (September 6) at Roy Thomson Hall in Toronto, Canada.

The 46-year-old actress was joined by her co-stars Jeremy Irvine and Colin Firth, whose wife Livia Giuggioli was by his side at the premiere.

The Railway Man is the true story of a victim (Firth/Irvine) from World War II’s “Death Railway” who sets out to find those responsible for his torture.

FYI: Nicole is wearing an Altuzarra suit and Louis Vuitton shoes. Jeremy is wearing Dolce&Gabbana.

Fashion fail??? What are u talking about? She is DIVINE!!!

  • Jada knows

The troll Oh Dear is agreeing with herself again. How many names will we get this thread? The photo of Keith sending Nicole off must be pretty hard to take.

P.s. Nic and Colin look classy and stylish.

  • Sheffield

Everyone in the group looks smartly dressed. Maybe #3 doesn’t like Nicole’s suit because it’s not from KMart.

  • asdfghjkl

@love8754: Exactly. Some people need new glasses and a brain scan. But in this case I doubt it would do any good.

  • LooseLipz

The suit jacket is lovely. Very smart looking. However, those pants don’t do it justice. They’re too short, even if they’re meant to be, they look wrong here. Paired with a leather skirt of longer trousers would have worked.

Nicole really needs to lay off the face fillers. She’s too tight.

  • Gemma

Standing ovation and raves for Colin and Nicole’s performances at the screening!

Everyone looks great. The story this film is based on is amazing.

Nicole’s mid life fashion crisis continues and that’s why we have lace panelling on the jacket and bows on the shoes.

I think that jacket is classic. On a shorter or heavier person it would be a disaster, but Nicole has the perfect model’s figure to show it off.

  • Leno

Kidman has the tell-tale red eyes from frequently playing in and inhaling the snow – it also helps keep her weight down.

  • lolololololololol

Laughing my a$$ off stupid skeptic. What brought this on? The fact that Nicole and Colin are planning on working together for a 3rd time? The camping trip the Urban family is taking? Or is it depression fueled lies brought on by the adorable video of Nicole standing in between Dierks Bentley and Keith with Faith on his shoulders and all 4 cheering on Sunday and Evie at the Franklin Labor Day Run?

Better increase your meds. The dedications to Nic and the girls in the Fuse liner notes just might make you catatonic.

  • Oh dear

The Montreal Gazette – “It’s hard to imagine what Urban meant when he telegraphed that this was to be his Achtung Baby – or at least something different for him. While there might be the slightest hint of techno spice buried in Red Camaro or Little Bit of Everything, the album is mind-numbingly predictable arena pop-rock. Every singsong chorus, every wailing guitar solo and every heartland lyric sounds so written by committee that it’s almost impossible to tell one radio-friendly track from the other.
    .
To call these songs country – even though a stray banjo turns up here and there – is to grievously insult the genre. In the end, how bad is this, really? Put it this way: Lady Antebellum had more interesting musical ideas on their last album.”

How long did it take Mother Mary Maclen to find that one? The Montreal Gazette is where everyone goes for country music reviews, right? It’s too bad Little Bit of Everything is now 4 weeks #1 in Canada, 2 in the US. Bahaha!

    http://www.roughstock.com/reviews/album-review-keith-urban-fuse/

    Fuse
    *****

The result of that change of scenery is Fuse, an almost absurdly eclectic mix that has Urban at his best. A whopping eleven producers are credited, ranging from Urban and Huff, to a few more in the country arena (Nathan Chapman, Jay Joyce), a few on its edge (Ross Copperman), and some way out of left field (Stargate). Urban co-wrote only a few of the songs, leaving plenty of room for a wide cast of collaborators, all of whom bring their “A” material.

  • bahahaha

Take off your rose colored glasses lololololololol, “FUSE” will be a “BOMB”

  • lolololololololol

How long will it take for the troll to post the second review on the cuckoo board from Mother Mary Maclen, the biggest fraud in the land. ”My computer is so slow and old but I can photoshop the hell out of a Nashville gas station photo”. ”I’m so devoted to the Beatles I think I own their music.” ”My name is maclen not Maclen dammit because I’m trying to fool people into believing I wasn’t a troll on other forums!”

Hatti just keeps digging that sjeptic coffin doesn’t she? So many problems being a lying skeptic, not enough time to cover your tracks. Bahahahaha!

  • bahahaha

Really SM, I don’t think posting under the name “lolololololol” is a good idea because, when “Fuse” BOMBS on Tuesday, nobody will be laughing (besides the skeptics!!!!!!!!!) bahahahahaha

  • That’s your defense?

Bahaha. Time to go to the Kate Winslet threads and post about her rubber belly! Sleep tight in that straightjacket freak.

  • Another flop for Kidman

The Bottom Line: A former P.O.W.’s extraordinary story gets a plodding retelling in Jonathan Teplitzky’s poorly-structured drama.

  • Luigi

I’ll help out. Yet another flop and he is catering to the AI audience.

It sounds nothing like the rest of the albums that are dominating the male vocalist side of today’s country charts.

So what, as a longtime Urban fan, is the saving grace that has kept me compelled by Fuse – an album where there is nothing inherently wrong with its song choices, but where each track has somewhat of a retread feel to it?

You will never confuse Urban’s newest offerings with those of Luke Bryan, Blake Shelton or Kenny Chesney.

With Fuse, Urban has incorporated different stylistic elements that I suspect have much to do with bringing his American Idol audience into the pop-country fold.

There are no “Song of the Year” candidates on Fuse, but the album also points a finger far, far away from the stereotypical male country offerings of 2013 thus far.

The bottom line? Urban is no game-changer, and he’s made more memorable work than what Fuse brings to the table. (What have skeptics been saying?)

  • lolololololololol

3, 2, 1 …. right on time just as predicted.

We’re laughing at the posts on the cuckoo board. You post them here thry are just as dumb. What you are too hopping mad to get is your criticism is coming from a nasty twisted bitter place. You can try to wrangle other people’s opinions into your own agenda but it won’t work. The 5 star roughstock review won’t show up at the Cuckoo Ward just like the video of Nicole at the Franklin Classic won’t be posted either. The little game you’re playing of Hide Reality has never worked and won’t work now. Every album released since 2005 was supposed to be a flop and it wasn’t. Every movie Nicole’s made since 2005 was supposed to flop and they haven’t.

So we’ve got ”Leno”, is that Jay Leno?, and ”Luigi”, from the Mario Brothers? posting. Who’s next? Don Corleone?

    Skeptics are a joke.

  • What skeptics are saying?

Nothing, Suck on that Sue Raddatz.

  • Luigi

@lolololololololol: Like your name is so original. How much time did you spend coming up with that winner of a name?

  • @Luigi

Crystal clear why you didn’t post the end of that review. It’s positive:

“The bottom line? Urban is no game-changer, and he’s made more memorable work than what Fuse brings to the table. But this is the kind of album that can and should be heard as part of Urban’s joyous and exciting arena tours, where fans still clamor to see one of the best entertainers that the genre has to offer. “I’ve got your love, baby,” are the final five words to the album, and when it comes to Urban and his fans feeding off of one another, the final lyrics he offers on Fuse couldn’t ring more true.”

  • Luigi

@@Luigi: What was the point? It still does not say this album will receive any award accolades or that this is his best yet. This critic knows The Ville will suck up and take anything that is handed to them.

  • Oh dear

3, 2, 1 …. FUSE is a BOMB – right on time just as predicted.

3, 2, 1 …. THE RAILWAY MAN is a BOMB – right on time just as predicted.

    Entertainment Weekly 9/13/13
    Keith Urban Fuse
Country stars sure seem bored by country music lately. On his seventh LP, Urban can’t help but walk down the pop path that Taylor Swift, Luke Bryan, and Florida Georgia Line have helped pave in the past year. Right now, the Aussie – who will return to the American Idol judges’ panel – wants a “Little Bit of Everything,” which means drum machines, electric guitars, and two of Rihanna’s favorite producers. The result is sonically exploratory (if overproduced), but Urban’s breezy, flirty lyrics are so DREADFULLY derivative that they undo his attempt at diversity.

    B-

Luke Bryan was also labeled in EW as a summer winner in the music category. Nothing said about Mr. Nicole Kidman.

  • Giving them hope

Sue, maybe blowing another roadie will clear your head. We all know how you decide to buy music – Is the guy hot enough to distract me from my horrible life?

From HuffPo – ‘Crash My Party’ Review: Luke Bryan’s Fourth Album Is Predictable

If you bought the album Sue you better ask for a refund because HuffPo isn’t slobbering all over it.

Everyone is loving Cheyenne. She just can’t shut up, can she? Bahahahahaha!

  • All hope is lost for KUNK

It looks like delusional members of “The Vile” will be encouraged by Urban to break into their Christmas savings accounts and buy multiple copies of “Bomb”.

  • Giving them hope

Same lies from you every album release, right Sue? Just call it More Raddatz Crap!

Hope you are stocked up on batteries for that flashlight!
