Hugh Jackman: The Violence in 'Prisoners' is Uncomfortable

Hugh Jackman eats out of a bowl as he takes his adorable pup for a walk on Tuesday (September 10) in New York City.

The 44-year-old actor recently chatted with the Wall Street Journal about the amount of violence in his upcoming film Prisoners.

“You really only can go as far as your other actors will allow you to go. And there has to be trust. And you need a director who knows how to push you,” Hugh said. “It was important that the violence wasn’t pretty or fun or anything like an action movie. Nothing like Wolverine. This had to be uncomfortable, like real violence is.”

Prisoners hits theaters on September 20.

FYI: Hugh is wearing AG Jeans.
