    I…..I just cant…this is absolutely ridiculous. I dont understand the thought behind this at all. The thought of The sound of music being spoken in pronounced American accents just ..well I’m sorry but love the original too much and the stage musical has always been British.

    I just have her in my head going….Let’s start at the very beginning y’all.

    My Goodness. Carrie is in everything. Shes singing the football theme for Sunday Night football, shes Maria. What next?

    I like Carrie but she seems too old to play Maria. Maria should be someone in their early 20′s. Or at least look like early 20′s. Carrie looks like she’s 40.

    @Pickles:
    That’s kind of extremely rude. FYI, idiot she is 30 years old. She doesn’t even look old at all, you need to get your eyes check. And to everyone else being douchebags on here, don’t judge her until you see it. A little unfair!

    I think she’s a wonderful choice for the role. I mean c’mon, Johnnie Depp as Wonka was far stretched!
    Carrie can pull it off….the problem is, remakes of such classics are usually not great.

    I think I could disagree with the main ideas. I won’t share it with my friends.. You should think of other ways to express your iNew i2000 ideas.[Reply]

    It would be tough for anyone to step into “the” quintessential role made famous by Julie Andrews, but I think Carrie will be able to put her own spin on it. She is a talented woman, and with the right Director, she will do the part of Maria very well.
