James Franco: 'Weirdest, Funniest Version of Himself' on 'The Mindy Project'

James Franco carries a book with him as he prepares to catch a departing flight out of LAX Airport on Monday (September 16) in Los Angeles.

The 35-year-old actor has a multi-episode run on season two of The Mindy Project, which premieres tonight (September 17) at 9:30 ET on Fox – Make sure to tune in!

Star and creator of the show, Mindy Kaling recently dished about James‘ character on the show.

“His name is Paul Leotard, which is a ridiculous name and the fact that he was like ‘Yeah that’s a great name for the character,’ he just rolls with everything,” Mindy told MTV. “In fact, when he introduced himself to me on the show he pronounced it ‘Lay-o-tard,’ which is even funnier to me. He just wants to be the weirdest, funniest version of himself.”
