Join the club. Not many people do like it. I can’t stand it. Trying figure out a way to roll back.

Totally Agree!! My friends have upgraded, but I have waited due to the BRIGHTNESS factor. It’s way to strong of lighting for my eyes and I’m not sure if they have a feature to tone down the lighting.
I’m going to wait this one out, even though I love the #7~

Maybe, we can do a repeat with IOS77, MINUS THE BRIGHTNESS EFFECT.

Seems odd. I don’t have an iPhone, but on my iPad I can change brightness in “Settings -> Brightness & Wallpaper.” (I haven’t upgraded to iOS 7 yet.)

Yup, I checked the iPhone user manual for iOS 7 software, and there’s a slider for changing the brightness via “Settings->Brightness & Wallpaper.”

In iOS 7 (apple hasn’t called iOS “iPhone OS” in like 4 years) there is this thing called control center, swipe up and it has quick access to a bunch of settings. This includes brightness. You can toggle the brightness to your preference.
