Cory Monteith Emmys Tribute: Remebered by Jane Lynch (Video)

Jane Lynch remembers her late Glee co-star Cory Monteith during a special In Memoriam tribute at the 2013 Emmy Awards held at the Nokia Theatre L.A. Live on Sunday (September 22) in Los Angeles.

“This summer on Glee, we suffered a painful death in our family. Cory Monteith played Finn Hudson, a star quarterback turned wide-eyed heartfelt glee singer and from the first time you saw Cory, he had a star quality and a genuine sweetness that made it impossible not to fall in love with him,” Jane said to begin her speech.

    Oh god. I didn’t cry when I was watching it but I cried now. I miss him so much. Please come back Cory

    That’s nice but he didn’t deserve it.

    Cory is amazing and I can’t believe idiots like some celebrities are still alive instead of this beautiful soul

    Leanne Says:

    @Taylor: Do you know why Cory’s dead? Because he got drunk, stuck a needle in his arm, and shot up enough heroin to kill himself. Do you know why other celebrities are alive? Because they haven’t done that. Simple as that. He died in a completely preventable way and he was the sole cause of his own death. Don’t act like other people should’ve died instead of him.

    @Leanne:
    ^This!
    He was a dumb kid, who threw his life away. That’s all!
    I can’t believe the fuss that is being made over his death, when so many other, much more accomplished actors died this year and they didn’t get any appropriate mentions. Namely Jack Klugman’s, Larry Hagman and many others. Now those where people that would have deserved this kind of recognition.

    I find it very hard to swallow all this praise for a drug addict, without pointing out his major fail in life that ultimately took his life.

    Jane said “He wasn’t perfect!”
    Wow, no kidding! Great role model for his young fans :o(

    He seemed a humble and polite fellow, but sadly that’s not enough. Perhaps he wasn’t cut out for the celebrity lifestyle, but he could have changed that in an instant. Sad all around…

    @Kiki: both you and @Leanne are cold hearted, that is somebody’s son you are talking about. how you like it if somebody you didn’t know talked $hit about a friend or family member of yours that died. It does not matter how he died but at least have a little respect or even better if you don’t have anything nice to say then keep it to yourself

    @talia: *how would you

    Bianca Says:

    It’s just like Jane said: nobody’s perfect.

    @talia: Still, it was wrong the way other actors more accomplished than he were slighted, even though I miss Cory.
