Michael B. Jordan: 'Independence Day' Sequel Contender?

Michael B. Jordan is reportedly being eyed to star in Independence Day 2, the highly anticipated sequel to the 1996 movie, according to The Wrap.

It is unclear what role the 26-year-old Fruitvale Station actor would play in the film, and it has still yet to be determined if Will Smith will be returning and reprising his role.

Jeff Goldblum and Bill Pullman are expected to reprise their roles for the Roland Emmerich directed sequel, titled ID Forever Part I.

The film is expected to announce casting in the coming months – be sure to check out the flick when it hits theaters on July 3, 2015.
