Miranda Kerr: Orlando Bloom's Acting Blows Me Away

Miranda Kerr: Orlando Bloom's Acting Blows Me Away

Miranda Kerr shows off her amazing figure on the cover of Cosmopolitan magazine’s November 2013 issue, on newsstands October 8.

Here’s what the 30-year-old model had to share with the mag:

On husband Orlando Bloom:Flynn says Mommy works and Daddy plays, because Daddy is in a play…so that makes sense. When I saw Orlando on Broadway in Romeo and Juliet, I was blown away. For someone to be able to learn all that and hold the energy to do it every day, six days a week – I have so much respect for him. We don’t run lines though. We keep that very separate. That would be like me asking him to teach me how to catwalk.”

On being girlie: “Don’t feel like you have to do and be everything. Let the man do some things for you, because if he cares for you, he will want to. When I get home, I’m not the boss like I am at work – I slip into a more feminine role. I take everything off and put on my Stella McCartney silk robe. I’ll put on a red lip or red nails, and it lifts my mood. Sexy underwear also gives you a spark. I collect underwear from my travels. Lace, lingerie, bodysuits…they’re like souvenirs.”

On modeling: “My life is more balanced than ever. There was so much rejection in the beginning. Models are some of the most insecure people I’ve ever met. They’re constantly being told they’re not good enough. You’ve really got to practice loving yourself.”

    Today on Keeping Up With The Kerrdashians: Strong women frighten weak men and Miranda Kerrdashain tells us how Orlando Kerrdashian is a weak man and a d@uchb@g. Ladies, NEVER subvert your personality to make a man feel like man. If that’s what he needs, he is no man at all.

  • Pretty Ka

    @MM: That’s not what Cosmo’s readers want. The interviewer knows that; she knows that too.

  • Pretty Ka

    @Elena: @Elena: I respect your opinion, I do. But if you don’t like her, why do you follow her every move?

  • Josephine

    There are people fighting wars and dying from guns and you spend your time reading an interview with this chicks talking about lingerie. I’m not defending Kerr, she is dumb as a box of rocks but don’t be ridiculous here. Celebrities, no celebrities, wars and death can’t be the only things on our minds because we would all go crazy. She is a lingerie model, do you really expect her to talk about Syria in her interviews?

  • WOW

    @MM: Are you fighting wars? No, you are just many of this bitter first-world-problem having people constantly angry about somebody, who come to a GOSSIP BLOGS to vent on people. This is an interview on the COSMOPOLITAN. You better go to CNN if you want to hear stories about wars.

  • Adam

    @Josephine: MK doesn’t know where/what Syria is.

    “I’m not the boss like I am at work”, you are a model! Models aren’t the bosses of anyone, quite the opposite. They are the one who get bossed around by photographers, stylists etc.

  • @11

    Uhmmm, I guess that you forgot that she owns/ runs her own skincare company. How convenient for you.

  • MM

    I have fought in a war, and I come here to get my mind off of it.
    and I agree with Adam. Miranda has no clue where or what Syria is. She’s dumb, i’m not. She’s fug, i’m not.

  • Pretty Ka

    @MM: First you say that it amuses you that she is talking about lingerie when all this horrible stuff is happening in the world; THEN you claim that you come here to get your mind off that stuff. Get your story straight.

  • danielle

    @Josephine: well said

    I’m older than Miranda and she is VERY SMART, as well as beautiful. She’s telling the truth! Women (especially younger ones) do WAY too much for men. They think they are being independent by taking charge of everything, but the will lose out in the end. They do all this running around and don’t get any more respect from their husbands for it. Men need validation and they get a lot of that from “doing.” When you take that away from them, they end up as losers. A lot of boys and men are super lazy now because females do everything. Women go out to work and let their guys babysit and play video games/watch pornography all day. Women are chasing men for relationships now. Or they pursue them online. It’s disgusting and stupid.

  • response to you

    @Josephine: Miranda Kerr is sharing how she keeps balance in her life — and it makes sense to me. You can’t concentrate on bad news and wars all day, every day. Life also has to bring you joy or you will become depressed. I don’t read Cosmo mags anymore, but I did when I was young. The whole “Cosmo Girl” attitude is a lie that Ms Brown threw out there to sell her magazine. It makes young women (who don’t know any better) think they are as powerful as men in every area, but it’s simply not true. It’s still a man’s world, and in my opinion, it always will be.

  • Veep

    Not too sure about her as a feminist figure or a role model (but maybe she’s not putting herself up to be)…but she’s genuine and honest, so you gotta give her that. She’s right about models; they’re all batsheet crazy.

  • Kasia

    @Elena: Where did you get that she subverts her personality for a man? There’s nothing wrong with making compromises to keep a relationship alive. Relationships are give and take from both sides. There;s nothing wrong with her complimenting her man.

  • @19

    You need to cut the Troll….*ahem*… Elena some slack.
    You see, she has never been in a ‘real’ relationship, so she has no idea how they work.
    This poor, sad, hateful person is all alone in the world. That’s why she is so bitter about those who have found love, happiness and success.
    Poor, pitiful troll.

  • @20

    You are such a bigot hater. You are misogynistic and you’re hetero normative and homophobic and all of that is coloring your ideas of who/what Elena is. You are making assumptions about her sexuality and her gender identity. You assume that she, or any woman needs a MAN to have a relationship, to be happy. You disgust me.

    And NO #16 it is not smart of Miranda or any one else to have this point of view. No, women should not do everything for a man be a slave to a man but that is NOT what she is talking about here. She is talking about playing the weak woman for a man’s satisfaction. Miranda DID say that she subverted herself for Orlando. She comes home from being the “alpha female” and becomes more “feminine”. She is pandering to the misogynistic that to be feminine is to be weak and you must be weak to help your man feel masculine. I agree with Elena that if your man needs you to be, or pretend to be, weak to feel manly, he is no man. I am guessing that Orlando has a VERY small d*ck if this is the kind of man he is.

    I vote that we just stop allowing models to speak. when the open their mouths, stupidity dribbles out and it’s unattractive. BTW, she did NOT say that his acting blew her away, she said that his ability to learn lines is what she was blown away by. I am guessing that she blown away be people who, you know read and hard stuff like that. And she’s a model. She doesn’t WORK any more than an actor does. I think Flynn should grow up to realize neither one of his parents have any ability to do real work so they became actors and models so they wouldn’t have to.

  • heh

    @Mandy: Don’t be jealous!
