Jennifer Lawrence Covers 'Harper's Bazaar UK' November 2013

Jennifer Lawrence is gorgeous on the cover of Harper’s Bazaar UK magazine’s November 2013 issue, on newsstands tomorrow.

Here’s what the 23-year-old actress had to share with the mag:

On getting criticism for her 2013 Oscars speech: “[The other person said] Other people are getting up and owning the stage and you sound like a stuttering idiot. Pull it together.’ And I said, ‘I’m not doing it on purpose, I’m uncomfortable and when people get uncomfortable they resort to their sh*t. I make awkward jokes and stutter. That was actually a moment when I really wanted it to be special. That was not the time I wanted to be the Down-home Girl. I wanted to be graceful.”

On loving on set catering: “My bodyguard Gilbert, right before they call ‘action,’ I’m like, ‘If there aren’t Cheez-Its here by the time they call cut, just go home.’ And he’ll start running. It cracks me up how seriously he takes it …. It’s not my performance that is motivating me. I want to get the on-set catering.”

On being called fat: “I was young. It was just the kind of sh*t that actresses have to go through. Somebody told me I was fat, that I was going to get fired if I didn’t lose a certain amount of weight. They brought in pictures of me where I was basically naked, and told me to use them as motivation for my diet. It was just that. [Someone brought it up recently] They thought that because of the way my career had gone, it wouldn’t still hurt me. That somehow, after I won an Oscar, I’m above it all. ‘You really still care about that?’ Yeah. I was a little girl. I was hurt. It doesn’t matter what accolades you get. I know it’ll never happen to me again. If anybody even tries to whisper the word ‘diet’, I’m like, ‘You can go f*ck yourself.’”

Jennifer‘s full interview appears in the Harper’s Bazaar UK November 2013 issue, on newsstands tomorrow. It’s also available as a digital copy!

She should go find these people and shove her Oscar up their asses.

Jennifer Lawrence is awesome. I think she handles herself very well. Acknowledging that there has been some BS to deal with but NOT changing herself physically or in any other respect, remaining true to her convictions is admirable.

@Dan: @Dan Ha!…that’s what I thought! (LOL!). Good for Jennifer!…and the funny thing is?…regarding Oscar night, people LOVED how she was so natural.

Amazing!. Jennifer Lawrence interviews are always in a NO BULLSH*T Zone…ask Lawrence what’s on her mind and damn, she’ll tell you. I love it!. I can’t stand stock answers to questions. It’s why (partly why) people love Jennifer Lawrence. Never change, Jennifer!.

Although she seems a little bit fake sometimes with this “I’m-so-down-to-earth” speech, I admire her for the projects she’s been choosing and for not exposing her personal life. She is a versatile actress and the biggest star of her generation.

I have a better actress than Jennifer

there comes a time in every career when they reach her status.. where you need to start giving back.. still waiting..

    ALG Says:

On Oscar night, who “owned” the stage? Daniel Day Lewis was funny with his joke about Meryl Streep. Anne’s speech had obviously been rehearsed to death and was so inauthentic everyone was rolling their eyes. Affleck was the one stuttering. I think Jen is getting bad information. Her speech was great. She’s barely in her 20s and has a billion dollar franchise of her own, plus a Best LEAD Actress Oscar. Way ahead of the curve.

Turning down Bradley Cooper was her best move

He looks ridiculous with that Suki

    Love her!

    Cate Says:

From the way she was talking about her weigh in her interviews last year I knew someone important had made hurtful comments. You could tell she was very self-conscious about it.

I wonder if the experience was during X-Men: First Class? That’s the only thing I can think of that she’s done recently where there would be pictures of her wearing very little clothing as they would probably have to take pictures of her with very little clothing on to figure out the body make-up for Mystique.

    ILuvIt Says:

    Isn’t she lovely!!!

    Dee Says:

I personally LOVED THE SHXXT outta her speech. I mean… THE GIRL FELL FLAT ON HER FACE FOR FFS! How does anybody come back from that? I woulda cried (from the embarrassment) and left! But she just effing owned it! And its not like she didnt thk Harvey and David and whomever about a BILLION times with everything *else* she won! This girl is BOSS. Her,Kristen Stewart, Emma Stone…I love these girls! Amazing and talented women! Cant wait to read the interview. She gives good interview!

    Paula Says:

Everything about her annoys me. She has a very high opinion of herself but pretends not to. FAKE.

  17. 17
    hawkeyes Says:

those photos are so ridiculous and not realistic, whats the damn point of making into something that she isn’t ? she is a walking contradiction .

    Jessie Says:

Getting an Oscar at a young age can make you have an inflated opinion of yourself. She’s a good actress and imo Silvery Lining Playbook was just ok. The great stars of Hollywood are getting old and they have to start building up the young actresses and actors to take their place. I just hope that some of these over the top accolades aren’t coming too fast for them to keep up and really maintain who they were before the fame.

    Avery Says:

She so f-uking beautiful, and love that she isn’t a stupid fameho like most of Hollywood , even people like Leo DiCaprio who shun the cameras but still love the celebrity life and go to every party and event just hides under his hat like idiot.

    haha Says:

overrated! and just shut up! congrats you won an Oscar but it was bought for you.

    Happy_Evil_Dude Says:

@haha: um…no it wasn’t. Oscars are voted for.

  22. 22
    Marika Says:

You can say whatever but Jen doesn’t give a cr.ap about your opinion and that’s what I love about her.

  23. 23
    Chris Says:

@Happy_Evil_Dude: Yeah, and Harvey Weinstein voted for her win! LOL
Most overrated actress of the moment alongside Jessica ‘pit of fakery’ and “only one facial expression’ Chastain!
