Tom Clancy Dead - Best Selling Author Dies at 66

Best selling author Tom Clancy has passed away at the age of 66, New York Times writer Julie Bosman reported from her Twitter account earlier in the day.

Tom Clancy‘s publisher confirms to the NYT that he died last night in a hospital in Baltimore.” the New York Times writer tweeted out to her followers. No word on the cause of death.

The famed writer was known for numerous works, including the Jack Ryan series, as well as books which inspired movies such as The Hunt for Red October, Patriot Games, and Clear and Present Danger.

Our condolences go out to Tom‘s family and friends during this difficult time.
