Katie Holmes: Suri is Girlier Than I Was At Her Age!

Katie Holmes leaves her daughter Suri‘s school after dropping her off for the day on Thursday (October 3) in New York City.

The 34-year-old actress recently chatted about a big difference between herself and Suri at her age.

“My daughter Suri is much more girlie than I was as a child. I was a tomboy. I rode my bike everywhere and played basketball,” Katie told InStyle UK (via the Huffington Post). “There’s a reason I’ve always been seen as the girl next door – the ‘natural’ look on Dawson’s Creek was me off-screen too. I went to an all-girls high school and we never wore make-up – it was all about getting good grades.”

What the heck does” Katie told InStyle UK (via the Huffington Post)” mean??! Was she being interviewed by InStyle or the Huff Post? Jeez.

# 2

She has NO style whatsoever…

# 3

It means Katie did an interview with Instyle UK and Huff Post had an excerpt.

I think she should refuse to answer questions about her child — I think it’s exploitive and she should just keep the kid out of it (still remember the horrific “strong woman” comment about her child when the kid was 3 or 4).

# 5

She barely even talks about her daughter anymore compared to most celebrities. Even this comment was more about herself than Suri, but of course she’s exploiting her. *rolls eyes*

# 6

she looks so good. bravo!!!

# 7

She looks gorgeous..far too many judgemental people again, all i see is a beautiful woman picking her child up from school and going about her day to day business, she needs people to give her a second chance instead of judging her for her previous poor life choices,

Thats because you were not a celebrity then and neither were your parents! You need to get out of the city and give that girl a real life.

She’s been acting since age 16. If she gets a break. Good for her. If she does poorly, SHE has to live with it. I don’t know why people are so negative about her. I ‘d be a basket case if I knew people had such disdain for me….

I like her style a lot of the time, and I really like the jeans and that white jacket, and the shoes in the other pic, nice!
She talks about Suri a little bit, Katie is a very private person, just because she’s living in NY so do a lot of celebs.
She gets papped because they know her routine.
At least she doesn’t post pics of herself doing this that and the other.
Look at me in my underwear…..look at me , just woke up, look at me in my kitchen, like some do.
And she doesn’t talk about her ex husband either, to gain interest and attention. even tho people would be hugely interested, doesn’t say anything bad, doesn’t day anything good, just nothing, (venus in scorpio).
She’s great!

She really is a down to earth, likeable person. She goes on with her business, keeps her daughter as first priority and is way above the circumstances. Classy and with high dignity. Best of luck for her comeback on the upcoming projects. I am happy many people are now back on liking her. Critics at this level of scrutiny, there will always be. She seems to be very strong and do not pay atenttion to that, so kudos.

If her daughter is her first priority, then why did she just accept a job in South Africa? Her career, such as it is, is her first priority. If her kid was, she wouldn’t have taken a job where she has to either pull the child out of school and destabilize her life OR go away leaving her behind with nannies which will also create insecurity. Of course she could always leave Suri with Father of the Year, CrazyCruise and lose her to a cult. Also if her kid was her first priority, considering the way the child hates living in a fishbowl, Katie would have bought a home outside the city to give the kid privacy. Nah…..kid isn’t her first priority. Katie is Katie’s first priority.

PS. annie, nothing “great” about Katie. She is decidedly mediocre at everything she does. She’s not a “great” actress, “great” designer, and she sure isn’t a “great” mother.

well Sandy that’s your opinion, and your’e entititled to it…..but
Then there must be a lot of bad celeb mums out there, if that’s how you feel
you don’t like her clothes but she’s heading into her 5th year.
She’s still working, in film and other areas, and keeping it in NY, as much as she can.

Of course I’m entitled to my opinion, annie. Other celeb “mums” don’t have children who’s entire lives were turned upside down within the last year. They don’t have kids that no longer see their “father” and if every other celeb “mum” hung their kid ouy a 20th floor window, then I guess it’s OK for Katie to do the same.
As far as her working in film and with that idiotic fashion line, please get a grip. IF her movies make it to the theater at all, they bomb in an instant. The parts are getting smaller and smaller. I could get hired as much as she does. Her fashion line is a giant joke. Its crap. No critic ever has a decent thing to say about it. Its a vanity line.

Bottom line is this: Your “great mum” is upending her child AGAIN for her own selfish reasons and for her poor excuse of a career. That isn’t “great” and neither is she.

Oh, and it’s MOM, not “mum”. It’s short for MOTHER with an O, not Muther with a U.
