    Funny that we haven’t seen more review of The Counselor however the few tweets that we have seen have been amazing. I think that these are the best two:
    Mister Laurie ‏@SICrecords 1 h I went to see The Counselor last night. Ridley Scott’s Cormac McCarthy scripted film. Not cheerful but brilliant. Really really brilliant.
    Cereinyn ‏@Cereinyn 29 min
    With #ElisaLasowski, @CeciliaMasks premiere of Ridley Scotts #TheCounselor – Existential, elegant, Shakespearean.
    Fury continues to look as though it is going to be an amazingly authentic experience.

    And who’s looking after the twins while Daddy Drunkest spends 14 hour days at work and then hits the bars after filming is done for the day?

    Wow, and to think he dragged them thousands of miles away from their siblings just so that more nannies could take care of them.

    Yes I do. Think it will get best film, best actor, supporting actor, supporting actress, director, adapted screenplay and soundtrack.

    Wishful thinking on your part. Awards season hasn’t even started yet. Studios have not rolled out their marketing campaigns and 90% of the real Oscar contenders are not out yet.

    The odds on the Oscar frontrunners will change over the course of the weekend, after Gravity destroys the competition at the box office.

    Please don’t cry loons.

    Oh yeah. Which film won the audience awards at TIFF.

    BTW Best Actress. Cate Blanchett has this sown up.

    Interesting that the trolls haven’t mentioned any of Aniston’s films competing for major awards seeing that she is one of the power players in HW. Granted a major player who no high profile director or producer wants to touch with a barge pole, but still a power player anyway.

    Found this on another board, but apparently it’s from Goldderby (someone who attended a screening with AMPAS members): GRAIN OF SALT PEOPLE!

    Breaking news: I’m attending a very private screening of 12 Years a Slave tomorrow and I heard that an Academy-related inside source will be there as well. I can not only post my review of the film but also try to talk and squeeze something out of the source if you guys want to! Just say something that you want me to ask and I’ll try my best to do it

    ame back from the screening. The movie was phenomenal and moving and I still can’t get it out of my head. Props to McQueen’s direction and the supporting cast, specially Nyongo’o and Fassbender who in my opinion outshined Ejiofor by a very thin margin (even though he was terrific and clearly a best actor nominee, he got it in the bag).

    Also, I spoke with the source that I talked about yesterday and we had a VERY revealing chat. Do you guys wanna hear anything about it or do you prefer to go on without some inside info?

    o basically we talked for about 2/3 minutes (my friend was leading the conversation). He said that Lupita has a bigger chance than Chiwetel at winning and that according to a few academy voters 50 Years a Slave currently has the biggest shot at winning best picture even though Steve McQueen is not going to make it. He also said that this year is going to be a year of surprises because its a very crowded year and anyone can win and that the people who seem to be the frontrunners are the ones that will probably lose. He claimed that its going to be a very exciting and diverse Oscar season and that he was glad that Hollywood is taking the industry to a whole new level.

    He was definitely in his late 40′s/early 50′s. To be 100% honest I don’t know how relevant he is in the industry but he’s related to them somehow because he knows a lot of the voters personally (the older ones). Also my journalist friend said that she heard him saying that between Streep, Bullock and Blanchett, Cate has the edge because Diane Keaton was the last Woody Allen best actress winner and that is somehow a factor and also because she has the showiest and toughest role out of the three. However he hinted that Adele is a very very very strong contender. Watch out for Woody Allen as best director nominee.

    Take this with a grain of salt though. He’s not the one who calls the shots but he sure does know what he’s talking about. This will be a very unusual awards season.

    Rose, that chicken soup sounds deeeeee-li-shus!! Ibelieve you all are into “Indian Summer” back east or has it already passed. I remember that being such a beautiful time of the year back there because all the trees are turning or have turned to such amazing colors.
    Phool, thank you so much for your post. I will respond later.

    Interesting how the JP troll is all of a sudden an Oscarologist. Perhaps she can apply for a job at :D

    Oh lol, and why is she deflecting to discussing Aniston now? Too nervous about her idols getting ignored by the Academy, or just bitter because the studio passed on Heroina for the Gravity lead role? Har har.

    Rest assured Pitty will try anything to land an Oscar nomination for himself. Yes, he is *that* desperate, so he will do anything (and anyone) to squeeze his name in the list of the three producers that can be nominated in the Best Picture category, despite the fact that TYAS has SEVEN listed producers.

    Good luck to him, his looks abandoned him so it’s not like he can turn to the ole casting couch to get ahead in his career any more, like he used to back in the day! XD XD XD

    Your an idiot, Brad is the main producer like what Mqueen said ” without Brad Pitt this film wouldn’t be made”. Your scared that TYAS will win best picture and that Brad will win his Oscar. Troll, every credit says TYAS is the thee film to beat come Oscar night. You should be afraid that Brad will win his Oscar, because he is that close.

    ~~~Angelina Jolie Pass Puts ‘Gravity’ In Shaky Orbit For Warner Bros
    By MIKE FLEMING JR | Wednesday September 1, 2010 @ 4:07pm
    Mike Fleming
    EXCLUSIVE: Gravity, the 3D film that Warner Bros is mobilizing with director Alfonso Cuaron and Robert Downey Jr., is suddenly in danger of falling back to earth after Angellina Jolie said no to a full court press and a big money offer to star in the film. It has put Warner Bros in a bind. The studio needs an actress who can hold the screen and draw an audience to an $80 million film. Much like Tom Hanks’ role in Cast Away, the Gravity heroine is the only person onscreen for a large part of the movie. Beyond Jolie, which other actress do you bet on?
    Cuaron first courted Jolie when the project was tethered at Universal. She was intrigued with the filmmaker, but passed around the time it landed at Warner Bros. I’m told the studio tested or made approaches to actresses including Sandra Bullock and Natalie Portman (word around town is the studio’s intrigued with both), Naomi Watts, Marion Cotillard, Carey Mulligan, Scarlett Johansson, Sienna Miller, Abbie Cornish, Rebecca Hall, Olivia Wilde, Blake Lively. Warner Bros made a second overture to Jolie, but she just passed for a second time. While Downey certainly has the star power to carry such a movie, he plays a comparatively small role and it was never Downey’s or Cuaron’s intention for him to carry the picture.~~~
    ~~~ I mentioned that the studio was considering Portman and Sandra Bullock as the prime candidates after Angelina Jolie passed on the role for a second time.~~~

    LOL. um no. Isn’t Angelina getting an Oscar in November. And you are clearly certifiable if you think that TYAS is not going to be nominated for a multitude of Oscars. And yeah, I am so devastated about Angelina. Not even the iconic role of Maleficent or the fact that she is directing a movie for a major HW studio can help me get over the fact that she turned down the role in Gravity.

    No just wondering why Aniston, the most popular and powerful actress in HW, is not working with major league directors and producers. I would have thought that Ridley Scott, David Fincher, Ang Lee and Alfonso Cuarón would be lining up to work with Aniston and her midget but there just seems to be such an avalanche of silence from creme de la creme of filmmaking when it comes to offering Aniston any roles.

    Totally agree. When you think of what Brad and Angie have coming up professionally e.g TYAS, The Counselor, Maleficent, Unbroken, Fury and all of the films, tv series and internet series being slated to be made by Plan B, it really is an impressive body of work that these two amazing individuals have coming up.

    While Aniston and midget, have no big named directors or producers calling and she has a production company that doesn’t produce anything. The contrast between these two couples couldn’t be more stark.

    David Fincher and Brad Pitt Team Up and Head Into the Black Hole

    By John Squires
    October 4th, 2013

    The last couple times David Fincher and Brad Pitt joined forces, the results were two of the very best films of the 1990s; Seven and Fight Club. Needless to say, the thought of the two Hollywood titans getting together again is incredibly exciting, and another collaboration is indeed on its way.
    The Hollywood Reporter broke the news today that Pitt’s company Plan B Entertainment will be producing a feature film adaptation of Charles Burns’ graphic novel Black Hole, which David Fincher will direct. Fincher’s been linked to the project since 2008, and it seems the wait is finally almost over.

    For now, Pitt is only attached to produce, and there’s no word on whether he’ll be starring in the film.

    Check out the synopsis of the graphic novel below, to get an idea of what you can expect!

    Graphic Novel Synopsis
    The setting: suburban Seattle, the mid-1970s. We learn from the outset that a strange plague has descended upon the area’s teenagers, transmitted by sexual contact. The disease is manifested in any number of ways — from the hideously grotesque to the subtle (and concealable) — but once you’ve got it, that’s it. There’s no turning back.As we inhabit the heads of several key characters — some kids who have it, some who don’t, some who are about to get it — what unfolds isn’t the expected battle to fight the plague, or bring heightened awareness to it , or even to treat it. What we become witness to instead is a fascinating and eerie portrait of the nature of high school alienation itself — the savagery, the cruelty, the relentless anxiety and ennui, the longing for escape.And then the murders start.As hypnotically beautiful as it is horrifying, Black Hole transcends its genre by deftly exploring a specific American cultural moment in flux and the kids who are caught in it- back when it wasn’t exactly cool to be a hippie anymore, but Bowie was still just a little too weird. To say nothing of sprouting horns and molting your skin…

    I think TYAS will win Best Picture, I hope Mcqueen will win Best Director, but if even he doesn’t, he will win for Best Picture, Brad, Dede, Jeremy and Steve are the four producers gonna win,they are the ones involved in the movie from pre production to post production. If you read PGA requirement, pre production and post production are huge part of PGA requirement. Plus Brad was one got the funding for TYAS, without Brad putting his influence in, there would be no TYAS. I think Lupita will win best supporting actress, Fussy probably won’t win. Chiwetel may/ may not win. Screenplay, Editing and Score may win.

    Your right, I’m mean look at Brad and Angie they are the true definition of King and Queen of Hollywood. You listed the upcoming projects that Brad and Angie have already heaved lined up or working on. And then you look at ticky and squiggy they have nothing major coming up or working with high profiled directors. Ticky and Squiggy are the definition of bottom feeders and low class. Both ticky and squiggy shouldn’t bother appearing at awards seasons red carpets or events. We all know that come award season and Oscars Brad and Angie will again dominate and headline events and news.

    Now the reason I reposted your #510 post, Observer 2 is because of the lying murderess tamsh!t whose sole purpose on every JP thread is to try and rewrite Brad and Angelina’s history by reposting her lies believing if she tells a lie often enough, sooner or later someone is going to believe her.
    I want to thank you, Observer2, and every JoliePitt fan who takes the time to set that insane murderess (and yes, I do not believe for one second that cretin is a male but a jealous, hate-filled female hiding behind and lying about its gender by calling itself a male as 99.9% of the Fugly Female hags do on this thread, all 5 of them…..if it is true that even 5 of them exists.
    Isn’t it curious all the Jenhags want to be identified as males?
    As if any man would waste his time on the interned 24/7 365 spouting such vile lies about a female only because Brad Pitt loves Angelina and has children with her and the hags 9 years of hate attacks against Brad and Angelina on behalf of her idol Jen have not worked.
    That is the other lying common denominator they all share “…and I am not a Jen Aniston fan….” They give themselves away every time they say that.
    This one knife-wielding insane troll tamsh!t posts under so many different monikers and lies so much as she responds to herself under other monikers, we all know not one word that comes out of that murderess’s lying mouth can be believed.
    So, thank you Observer2, Cliniqua, Ground Control, Lylian, FALP, Passing Through, Rose, Phool, and all the knowledgeable JP fans – I am sorry I cannot name you all, for always calling this liar out on her lies and correcting her lies by printing the truth of what really happened.
