Cory Monteith‘s father Joe has opened up about how he is coping since his son passed away from a heroin and alcohol overdose in July.

He added, “I lost my son. He should have known not to touch that drug again. I don’t want to see any parent lose a child over heroin.”

In case you forgot, Glee‘s farewell episode to Cory‘s character Finn will air tonight on Fox at 9/8c. Don’t miss it!

What an incredibly stupid headline. It “still” tears his father apart. Well I guess it would. Losing a child is about the worst think any parent good parent or bad parent can ever experience. It is terrible, and after what, three months? I’d safely bet that three years from now hearts will still ache.

I agree! It’s the worst “think” any parent …..blah blah….

Why did he do drugs? Something happened in his childhood to make him turn to drugs. Childhood abuse leads to drugs so that probably explains why his Father is so upset. Sorry but this is true I don’t know anyone who was treated well in childhood and then turns to drugs later in life. EVERYONE I know who does drugs does it to dull the pain inflicted on them as children. I should know I am a therapist.

the fact that joe monteith is doing all these interviews is indication enough that he’s completely milking the situation. i can’t believe the number of people falling for it and feeling bad for him. where was he when cory was 17 and a high school dropout and battling addiction for the first time, huh? i don’t doubt that losing a child is hard no matter what, but he didn’t even bother reaching out to cory until he’d made it big with glee. he doesn’t get to do this, he doesn’t get to talk about the emotional trauma and bad-mouth his ex-wife and act like he knew cory. he bailed when his sons were still young children, he knows nothing about them and never offered to help despite knowing cory was in trouble as a teenager. this disgusts me.

I really loved Finn off of glee I thought he was so cute and when I heard that he died I was so heart broken I cried myself to sleep almost every night
