Taylor Swift Covers 'InStyle' November 2013

Taylor Swift shows off her green side on the cover of InStyle magazine’s November 2013 issue, on newsstands October 18.

Here’s what the 23-year-old singer had to share with the mag:

On whether she’s ever been in love: “I think that you can love people without it being the great love. Ed [Sheeran] said something that really resonated with me. He says there are different kinds of love: There’s physical attraction, mental attraction, and emotional attraction; there’s also comfort and obsession. You need to have all of those things in one person. You have to mentally respect them, be physically attracted, and have a comfort level. You’re obsessed with them, yet you also know they’re going to stay. I’ve never had that in one person.”

On her perfect guy: “My friends tease me about the fact that if someone seems bad or shady or like they have a secret, I find them incredibly interesting. That’s just a phase I’ve been in lately. I don’t think this should be how I proceed in life. It’s important to be self-aware about these things because you don’t want to end up with that guy.”

On insecurities: “Every single part of me has been dissected at some point or another by a blog writer or a 14-year-old girl on a comments page who says something really terrible. Or someone in middle school who points out [fakes a mean girl voice], ‘You have little eyes.’”

FYI: Taylor is wearing Burberry.

    That’s cute how she thinks it’s just middle schoolers who don’t like her when that’s the entirety of her fan base.

    @JustSayin: Agreed. I’m her age and I find her to be so embarrassing. No wonder guys think girls are crazy – just look at Tswift.

    love Taylor my insecurities started with one girl also in middle school, I understand perfectly when someone says somethin mean is sticks with you. Ed Sheeran has so much wisdom his words makes you feel and think and it make sense, im 23 and I’ve only had that physical attraction, mental attraction, and emotional attraction; comfort and obsession in a person once. To say I’ve been in actual love once Is the honest truth.

    @JustSayin: Pretty sure she means the “directioners” who were sending her hate messages for the past year. Because older people who don’t care for her don’t need to resort to bashing a celebrity online just because they dislike them.

    @JustSayin:

    Are you kidding me? There’s plenty of women of Taylor’s age or older who actually listen to her. There are famous women who even admitted it, like Lena Dunham, Kelly Clarkson or Stevie Nicks. So if you’re gonna talk about things you don’t know, you better shut up

    JustSayin Says:

    @lola: I actually know a fair amount on her and don’t need to justify any of it to you. Maybe you’re the one who should “shut up” about “things you don’t know.” Thanks for the lovely sentiments btw, cyber bully.
