Natalie Portman: I Was Cast in 'Thor' Because I'm Short!

Natalie Portman gives her adorable son Aleph a piggyback ride at the Jardin d’Acclimation children’s amusement park on Friday (October 25) in Paris, France.

The 32-year-old actress and her two-year-old son played on a playground, rode on some rides, and took in the sights of the fun filled arena!

“I was mainly cast in the role because I can make anyone look huge when they stand next to me,” Natalie told Us Weekly about being cast in the Thor series opposite Chris Hemsworth. “I’m extraordinarily short. They usually had a ramp for me to walk up so I could land somewhere near his [Chris'] face.”
