Over the weekend, Chris was arrested after getting into an altercation with a man outside of W Hotel in Washington D.C. and charged with felony assault.

However, Chris‘ felony charge was reduced to misdemeanor charges after he was spotted visiting the Washington D.C. Courthouse on Monday (October 28).

Chris is currently on felony probation for his altercation with former girlfriend Rihanna in 2009 and could face jail time if the L.A. County probation department decides that he violated his probation by getting arrested in Washington D.C.

This might help his case in court, but I have a feeling he is going back to prison. His career is pretty much over. Assaulting a guy? That’s one thing. But people don’t like men who beat women, and people NEVER forget.

  • Nicole

Once a beater…… well, you know.

  • jenna

Chris is so young and talented. Hoping he gets the help he needs. He can do it!

so I would assume we are waiting until he kills someone before the law applies to him?

  • Josh Trenser

What is wrong with this guy???

  • Asha

Someone is trying to prevent a probation violation. Maybe if the judge sees that he is taking the steps to better himself then he won’t be sent to prison for 4 years. I would love to go to “rehab” in Malibu. I’m sure he is living the life right now. Sorry Chris. I don’t believe your little stunt is going to work. You’re going to jail.

  • Effy

Disgusting how celebrities can get out of any legal situation. Where is the justice? Oh that’s right, politics is ALL about money.

  • Alliana

@Asha: Agree totally. This is a preemptive strike to try and stay out of jail for the felony probation violation. He will probably do the ‘poor me’ card next.

  • Sheena Smith

Such a pity to see him in that state. He could be even more famous with his talent but he has to check his attitude and behavior. Discipline and determination are the keys to success.

  • Ava

Rehab is just camp for celebrities and i agree with most of you. He’s trying to get out of jail. This boy needs IYANLA haha

  • Sarah.

If the reason is to avoid jail, which it probably is, I don’t think the anger management is going to work.

  • Charles

I’ve always been a really big fan but … he really needs help or jail time. :-/

  • Nikki

    He NEEDS it!!!!

He should have done this a long time ago.

    about time.

  • LivingLegend

Oh come on, just send this douchebag to a 5-star prison cell already… oh wait.

That guy lied, according to a secret service agent, who witnessed the entire thing. He would still benefit from some therapy to deal with all of these people not letting him mature and grow, as he has done over the past 2 years. We all could benefit from some therapy. #don’t throw stones unless your house is clean.
