I almost threw up when Jared went with that ” lets put moment of silence for those who suffer in Philippines”. It’s like, dude, this is freaking entertainment show where people come to have fun. They can see what happens in the world. They don’t need some stupid rich celebrity to remind them. You wanna help? Do it like Sean Penn and go to Philippines and stay there for weeks and help. And give them your own money. But don’t go and stage and all like: “I’m such a good and caring person. I care about people and poverty. I’m so saint. Look – i said few words from MTV stage. That’s totally gonna change everything “.

And it happens every time on EMA. Every year some hypocrite celebrity wants cheap respect and CARES about something. They would shout it from stage. Like: “People. Some really sad thing happened. Let’s all hold hands and prey for them. Lets stay silent for them. Let there be world peace. Let’s stop poverty. Government sucks. President is bad. Let’s all boo him”…

This is just a stupid entertainment show. You wanna change something? Go do it elsewhere. You won’t change anything if you will shout few hypocrite words from stage. You will just look like stupid celebrity that wants cheap respect.

Why hate on somebody showing some love. I admire him for having the balls to stand up for something that matters in such a superficial setting. If he got through to even one person in a the position to help, then love to Jared – beautiful soul. Congrats Thirty seconds to mars.

No he didn’t help anyone. This is another stupid celebrity that lives in a bubble and thinks that it will change world by dong some charity concert or screaming from stage about world peace. And then they admire themselves for doing it and being such good and caring persons. Sean Penn wanted to help and he spend weeks in Haity, getting his hand dirty and REALLY helping people.

And there Jared succeed. Some already “admire him for having the balls” to shout from the stage about people in Philippines. Yeah, that was so brave. He should receive medal of honor. Thats why they do it – for cheap respect and admiration.

Why those EMA celebrity always love to shout some nonsense from stage and then admire their own bravery and importance. It’s like you would throw birthday party. Everyone will have fun. And then some person would be like: “But now let’s take a moment of silence and honor mr. Smith. He lives 5 blocks away. His wife was recently brutally murdered. She is survived by 2 kids. Let’s be silent and pray for them”….

“If we can be part of the solution rather than the problem, then that’s a wonderful thing and there’s a terrible tragedy just affected a great number of people, many people have died, many people are displaced and they are in turmoil right now.
“So as we celebrate in one part of the world its completely legitimate and appropriate to send an acknowledgement their way.
“We’re in a very fortunate situation right now and the tables can be turned very quickly.”
When asked if there should be a benefit for those affected, he added: “I’m not in charge of anything, but if I had my way of course. You help if you can.
“Obviously, we are fortunate to be here and not in some incredible giant storm that’s gonna rip our houses and lives away from us. It’s nice when people do that, it’s solidarity.” – Jared Leto
the least they could do is to pray for the victims and lives that got lost. In that simple acknowledgement, people got informed and may be got motivated to donate (he did said where to donate).
CONGRATS 30 SECONDS TO MARS! Well deserved! :)

Jared is such a nice person. beautiful inside and out. Thank you for at least remembering our country. It is not easy to recover from that tragedy but we will anyway. God bless you more Jared =)

@St: You should get your facts straight here for a minute… Jared actually went to Haiti to help. He even documented his trip in a book that he has put out of which every proceeds go straight to Haitian Earthquake relief. So before you open your mouth to speak trash about Jared not caring and being ‘just some stupid random celebrity claiming a minute of attention’. He does care about what happens out there, a whole damn lot.
