I’m pleased with the casting. Looking forward to the movie!

Way more excited about Jamie D. than Charlie H. I think he’s a better fit. Admittedly I am excited for this movie.

So she got cast as Angela to Dakota’s Bella? Oh sorry, I always forget E.L. changed the names from Edward and Bella to Christian and Ana….yawn. ForeverandalwaysTwilightFanFic thatsoundslikeeveryotherBSDMTwilightfanfic.

  • Jessie

Is Ana’s roommate suppose to look like someone in her late thirties or early forties? She looks like she could be the mom.

  • JJ

@Ali: Right? I remember getting the updates in my inbox every week when 50 Shades was the Twilight fan fic “Master of the Universe”. The “literature student meets a handsome, yet tormented, billionaire” is usually the synopsis of many BDSM and non-BDSM Twilight fan fics too because it’s a play off of Bella loving English lit and Edward being a tormented rich vamp who liked control in the Twi-series. E.L. James literally took the vamp aspect out, added s x for the fic and then she changed the names to be published. Christian and Ana’s feature descriptions are even done based off Rob and Kristen (not E/B, but R/K… that’s why he has scruff and she wears Converse). In a way it’s smart that E.L. did very little work to make $$$ off of Stephenie Meyer’s story, but then again it’s also pretty pathetic. I didn’t mind when it was a fic for kicks, but I think it’s lame to take it to a franchise when it’s mostly a rip off story. It’s also HILARIOUS when people say Robert Pattinson couldn’t play Christian. I don’t want him to, but, seriously, Christian IS E.L’s Robert Pattinson fantasy therefore he IS the real life Christian Grey. It’s super creepy that his friend Jamie is playing a fantasy version of himself in a authors wet dream of another author’s dream lol.

@Jessie: And look at who we have playing Ana…a homely girl that is 24 but looks 34!

  • sara

@JJ: Actually he bas always just been Edward Cullen. When MotU was picked up, it was reworked. The “Edward” in MotU is not the Christian in FSoG. Physical changed were made to both characters. Rob inspired her fan fiction character but FSoG is the finished product and its not the same.

  • Charlene

Who is this girl? What has she ever played on/starred in? Is she supposed to be Kate in the movie? Well, in the books, Kate was a beautiful, green-eyed blond, 22 y/o. Excuse me, but this chick does not fit that description at all except for the blonde part. They should have cut her hair and made her play 50 y/o Elena. That would have been a better fit.

  • MC

Her and dreary Dakota need to switch roles. Neither look young enough but despite not having big blue eyes and petite statues (which Dakota doesn’t have either) Eloise is much more Ana than Dakota is! Eloise has a sweet, pretty face, and can look innocent. Dakota looks so old for her age, looks too experienced, and her features are not sweet and small, they’re mature looking. Dakota can benefit from the makeup and glam that is Kate, because the natural look does NOT work for her and that is Ana. Dakota is very homely and both Ana and Kate are supposed to be very beautiful. Next to Eloise, Dakota will fade into the background.

  • dev

@Charlene: Kate is strawberry blonde actually, and curvaceous. No one cast so far fits any of the descriptions. Eloise is the closest though, besides Jennifer Ehle.

  • KC

Eloise is actually gorgeous and looks young. You guys are mean.

  • JJ

@sara: I’ve read the description changes to Christian in FSoG and the Edward in MOtU was basically described as a mix of Rob and Edward..and now Christian’s description is more like Rob. She hardly changed anything but names and minor details. “Reworked” is giving her too much credit. “Slight changes” is more like it. A leopard can’t change its spots and this book and movie will never be more than a name-change version of typical all-human Twilight fan fiction stories.

  • Youguysareidiots

I usually dont comment on stupid shit like this but you guys are /very/ mean and rude. Dakota is /not/ ‘homely’ and I certainly would rather see her play Ana then the blonde girl. I know a lot of fans thought Alexis Bledel would have been perfect for the role, and I do agree, but now Dakota is cast and there HAS to be a reason for it. The girl can act, GIVE HER A CHANCE, and if everyone on here is sooo much better looking then Dakota since shes so ‘homely’ then why the hell arent you standing next to Jamie? I bet your all going to go see the movie anyway so leave the girl alone since I bet most of you are WORSE then homely yourselves. Look in the mirror before coming on here and hiding behind a screen and being mean.

@Jessie: They all look 35 to 40 years old. Look at the actor who will play Jose he looks 35, Dakota looks 40. I mean its really funny that I’m suppose to belive these girls are 21 years old in the first book. I think because so many actual 25 year olds are playing 18 on tv, people now believe someone who is a decade older is in their early 20s.
