the one annoying thing about living in the UK, the majority of films that are nominated for big awards still have yet to be released over here so really can’t say whether I agree or disagree with the winners.

Most of these films haven’t been released in the U.S. either. The critics and academy members get screeners or go to private screenings.

@TrueTeller: That’s why Viola Davis, Queen Latifah, Octavia Spencer, Halle Berry, Whoopie Goldberg and Quvenzhané Wallis were nominated/won an Oscar. You’re right… totally racist.

Lupita gave a heart wrenching performance and deserve to win over an overrated and over exposed actress.

JLaw is very talented and she also has no competition among her age group. While there is no doubt of her versatility, skill and charisma onscreen, the talent nowadays have become lukewarm. All you see are kids who go from being models to actors and that’s the definition of being a leading man/lady. I’d say that her success is inevitable given the situation of the industry and social media as well. It’s very easy to get exposure doing the right or wrong thing and that affects how your career goes. She deserves every bit of it and people are simply fascinated with a young woman who appears to have it all. And I mean, literally all. For her age. At this time. ;) GOOD ON HER!

I disagree, it’s crap, jenifer lawrence best actress, really, she is not an actress too, I do not make some of this crap, I’d There are other actors who deserve more
