this movie seems so thrown together with a random cast…but i’ve never read the book and never will and am so SICK of hearing about the stupid movie. ironically, i’m happy for Rita Ora getting a part.

    LOL Says:

uhhh ok I get it…she’s an Oscar winning actress who they need to give this movie a level of credibility.

    L Says:

God finally somebody that fits the character! It’s almost like they’ve seen the light and realized how horrific their castings have been so they were desperate to get a decent, bigger named actor on board. I bet they knew she was Grace when Rita was announced the play Mia and they purposely waited until the day after to announce it because they knew they’d get flack for Rita, and knew Marcia was going to be well-recieved and needed to distract from Rita. Pathetic.

    Sara Says:

This is the most jumbled up, inconsistent cast ever! They get the mothers right but they can’t get Ana, Christian, and the other supporting actors even remotely close to what’s in the books?? What the hell is this team doing? This cast makes no sense at all.

    Melissa Says:

@L: I completely agree! They must have been so desperate for a bigger named actress to help give this movie some credibility, because Lord knows Dakota and the others ruin it completely!!

i don’t about the movies but the books rock!! and i have to say i’m little dissapointed for the cast so far..especially with Anastasia!

    M Says:

Yeah obviously they were in need of a well known, decent actress to give this film credibility because Lord knows they royally f*cked up the rest of the cast! Ms. Harden is going to have quite the heavy load to carry!

    Jessica Says:

OMG, Ms Harden, don’t do it. You’re so much better than this!

    Nadja Says:

Yes, finally someone who actually fits the descriptions in the book :)

Really, when you think about it, many many actors could play Christian’s mom. It’s really kind of a “background part.” Why in the world would they finally cast a known and respected actor for this small part? None of the castings make sense to me….sorry….but I still have a wish that they can pull it off because I love the story……

Please cast Katie Holmes as Ms. Robinson, that would be fun.

EAST ASIANS CAN READ MINDS!!!! Says:

Asians can hear, and see what you’re visually thinking.
THIS IS NOT A JOKE OR A MEME! This is the absolute complete truth!!!!
    .
Asians hide their mind reading abilities by having completely expressionless faces so they don’t accidentally show facial expressions when people think things they don’t like, find funny, astonishing, etc, and Asians segregate so their not nearly as susceptible to that happening.
Asians also segregate, and are untalkative to avoid accidentally saying things that are similar to what people are thinking and going to say.
    .
All Asians are keeping their mind reading abilities a secret, they don’t want ANYONE to know they can read minds! They value hiding it more than their own lives!!!
    .
Try thinking, and visually picturing things as wild as you can when you are around Asians, and look for Asians who give people dirty/particular looks for what appears to be for completely no reason, it works if you try enough!!!
    .
PLEASE SPREAD THE MESSAGE!!!!! THE WORLD NEEDS TO KNOW THIS!!!!!

    Alaia Says:

Jennifer Ehle and Marcia Gay Harden are the only credible actors in the cast. Actually Jamie Dornan was also really good in The Fall. They must be getting paid a lot.
