The roughly 30-minute film is billed as “an epic tale based on the biblical story of sin and redemption,” where the 27-year-old takes the title role of Eve opposite model Shaun Ross.

The Anthony Mandler-directed short features the songs “Gods And Monsters,” “Bel Air” and “Body Electric,” all from her Paradise EP.

The day before, Lana held a Tropico premiere party, where she announced the title of her new album!

@ivana: No, Ivana… You like it because YOU don’t understand art. This Lana Del S.hit doesn’t know how to sing. All her music are the same. The video is tacky.

I didn’t get it either, that’s because I wan’t even paying attention; all mumble jumble really. Maybe if I actually do try to pay attention, the message is probably the same stuff that gets pass around already, life, love, society, etc etc, nothing new. Then again that’s pretty presumptuous. Then again, the video didn’t portray anything new either. Oh well, I still love Lana.

What I don’t get is why does she or her PR or whatever, use this photo for promtion? she looks ridiculously mannequin-like, completely expressionless. Am I the only one who sees it? the albino guy next to her isn’t helping either…

i like her, and i am a huge fan of the director, bu wow. that was so painfully boring and pointless.

@liz: @Vy Nguyen: It’s a story about redemption. Lana and her co-star are like Adam and Eve in the Garden of Eden during the beginning. Their characters in the film fall from grace and into an unsavory world of sex, money, violence, greed, etc. After the robbery scene, the couple is shown driving into the sunshine. During this scene Lana throws items out of the car. One item is clearly shown to be jewelry. This shows their rejection of their previous lifestyle, which was based on money and materialism. Then they are shown changing from black clothes into white clothes, as well as a baptism for both of them (symbolically washing away their sins). It’s like they experienced a rebirth. After that, they rise into the sky together as if they are rising up to heaven (which means they are forgiven by God).

As for Elvis & Marilyn, they are there because they are two of Lana’s idols and she mentions them in the first song, Body Electric. I think John Wayne is supposed to be God, because instead of saying “Dear God, forgive us our sins”, Lana said “Dear John, etc…” That’s just what I think.
