    Go Pink!

  • j

how is justin timberlake not nominated for song or album of the year with the top selling album of the year?

  • .

I haven’t listened fully listened to “The 20/20 Experience”, but how Taylor Swift’s “Red” album was nominated for the second year in a row, but Justin Timberlake wasn’t recognized for his two albums doesn’t make sense to me.

  • kary

It pissed me out when some website writes “see all nom here” and they just put like 3 categories.

  • Steph

These nominations are BS. No justin timberlake or Eminem
    Wtf

  • Steph

    @kary: there still
Announcing them, there being added as they announce it

  • anna

im sorry but…..ROAR as song of the year?? I mean no disrespect but it doesnt even deserve a nomination…..The grammys are becoming a joke and just a commerical awards…..Im sick of taylor swift too……which by the way it wasnt even a country album…..bad move on justin too

  • Guest

That’s it? Aren’t there more categories?

  • Andy

And pink misses out on album of the year, total bs.
Wouldn’t want to leave out Taylor swift now would we

  • Markus

    COME ON, SELENA!!!

  • anna

@Andy: That is called…..a commercial move. Tipical of the grammys lately

  • Lydia

    How was Mirrors not nominated?!

  • PHOEBE FALANGE

    and demi.¡???????

OMG DEMI IS NOT IN THE LIST

    >:(

  • ashley

    @j:

    my thoughts exactly!!

  • mmull5

Most of these nominations are a freaking joke, the only one worthy is James Blake. I won’t be watching, Southeastern by Jason Isbell should have been up for best country album.

  • Sweetness

These noms were clearly thrown together for album of the year to allow it be a lock for Taylor Swift. I am not a huge music followers but who is familiar with her endless syrupy songs and the other albums have not sold millions across middle America..So indeed this is a set up for her to win album of the year.

As for Roar by Katy Perry…Are you kidding me..Why not nominate Justin Bieber of Selena Gomez whose songs are more popular than Katy Perry’s?
Again another way to set up a win for Katy Perry by putting in other less played and familiar songs.. The grammys are becoming MTV light..
BTW..did Miley Cyrus have some songs that were MORE popular worldwide??

  • hanna

The Grammys are a joke now! Why is taylor even nominated? Especially in country – I listened to Red and it’s mostly pop. The only one I personally agree with is Kendrick but I haven’t listened to every other nominees music yet.

  • Avril

Guys the fact that some of you are jealous of Taylor doesn’t mean she doesn’t deserve to be nominated.
A joke? you know what the joke is? Blurred Lines being nominated.

  • Avril

@.: This is the first time RED is nominated. Gosh you’re assuming something that is not even true just to hate on her.

  • rouge

@anna: I totally agree with you

  • Avril

@anna: So… the Grammys are becoming a commertial thing just because you’re sick of Taylor??? mmm That doesn’t make sense. They’re not being commertial at all, if they were they would nominate all those commertial things like 1D, Justin Bieber, Demi Lovato, etc and they didn’t, so thanks God they’re not commertial at all.
PS: It IS a country album, you should listen to the whole album.

  • .

@Avril: Don’t get me wrong, I thought a lot of the RED album was great. And yes, I was mistaken about the actual album being nominated. When I wrote the comment, I had a flash back to last year’s Grammy Nominations, the release of RED, as well as other award shows where Taylor was nominated for both “Album of the Year” and “Best Country Album.” I meant no hate by my remark, the force that drives her over others is what mystifies me (no, illuminati obsessors, this is not your cue to enter.).

  • .

@Lydia: look again. Try “BEST POP SOLO PERFORMANCE.”

  • Louise

Who cares about the nominees. KEITH URBAN looked drop-dead gorgeous. That is one handsome, totally sexy man. Not to mention his beyond talent. So anxious for American Idol to watch Keith Urban. Watch out, Nicole, there are a gazillion female Keith Urban fans!! :)

  • anna

@Avril: I have listened to the whole album…..its pop. I mean, i knew you were trouble? 22? And im a huge taylor fan but everyone knows that taylor doesnt belong in the country genere anymore….its just not country. Its a fact. And….i dont mean commercial all the way but they are Way more predictable than ever. The grammys just….dont matter that much nowadays.

  • Ava

Please I wasn’t a fan until I actually listened to Red… That album is amazing, country, pop and it way out sold JT..and better critical success .. And she wrote / co every song.. What’s really a injustice is Eminem not being nominated for record / album of the year…assume he will be next year…. And sh*t why is their like 80 categories for Rap, no wonder Kanye has so many Grammy’s even though he never own Record or Album of the year.. the hand them out like candy in Rap categories.

  • Sada

Hope Red wins album and Imagine Dragons wins Record. Love both.. Macklemore & Ryan Lewis, WTF why isn’t Eminem being more recognized instead the lame Macklemore .

  • Avril

@.: Thanks for clarifying that and for being nice. You shouldn’t be mystified by that, she’s a GREAT artist.
illuminati obsessors <— I don't understand that sentences. Sorry I'm not a native English speaker.

  • living in a box

i listen to taylor swift whole album, red. and it’s doesn’t sound country. its more pop genre. i don’t said it was a bad album but that not country. i believe the grammy nominated taylor for the sake of ratings.

  • Avril

@anna: i knew you were trouble? 22? Those are just her singles, not the whole album.
“taylor doesnt belong in the country genere anymore” Once a country, always a country. She IS country and even if she wasn’t she should still be nominated bc she has donde so much for that genre.
“The grammys just….dont matter that much nowadays.” The fact that your fave wasn’t nominated doesn’t mean the Grammys don’t matter ;)

  • anna

@living in a box: Exactly! Its not a bad album at all. I think is quite good. Its just not country. Its pop with a mix of other genres. And eminem will be elegible next year

  • Avril

    @Ava: You’re right considering rap isn’t even music, it’s just talking :S

  • Mags

Don’t know how the nominations work but how is Eminem’s mmlp2 not nominated for best album? Does it not qualify for this year??

  • anna

@Avril: Dont get too defensive. Chill. I dont even have a fav actually and im saying i loved red but taylor its country anymore and im not saying that as a bad thing. Again and its not just me, almost every one think that taylor now is pop. Great pop songs but not country. I even think that songs like all too well is Way better that the snoozefest that is roar. I dont even know why that song is nominated (katy)

  • http://twitter.com/hausofashh ash

    @Sweetness:
The listed nominations are NOT based on sales/popularity, they’re nominated because of the QUALITY aka talent, creativity, originality & composition.

Other than that, I am so proud of Lorde.. 17 years old and FOUR nominations! I hope she wins them :D Also, GO LANA!

  • Tom

There are like 2 to 3 songs on Red that are country , 4 to 5 that are pop and the rest a mixture. Obviously people commenting don’t listen to country music so they have no idea what the music is except the honky tonk version.

  • Avril

@anna: It’s ok, I respect your opinion. Sometimes ppl say things that are not true and hate on Taylor for that. I mean I woudn’t mind if they say something bad about her as long as it is true but 99.9% of haters hate on her based on lies. And sorry but she’s still has songs that are country.

  • anthony

eminem’s album isnt eligible for this year’s…its why Kendrick’s GKMC is on this year’s

  • anna

@Avril: Hey im still a fan of her!….i think she is a great songwriter and she deserves the album of the year nomination….I like that she mixed things up on this one…..I would be boring otherwise. That was my problem with prism….it sound too of the same thing on the all album

  • Avril

@anna: Yeah, I understand! as I said before I respect your opinion. I was actually talking about haters and why I get too defensive. Sorry if I offended you I didn’t mean it. I’m just trying to defend the truth in the nicest way possible. Sorry again and thanks for understand and for being nice :)

  • Avril

@anna: oh and I also think Katy keeps doing the same again and again even though I don’t know much about her music :S

  • Mkhay

I know im gonna get a lot of shit for this but no “Wrecking Ball”?

that was one of the biggest records of the year

  • faiz afridi

so Drake’s nothing was the same is better than Marshall mathers lp 2 ?????? ‘started from the bottom’ is better than ‘rap god’?????? :/ :/ . dissapointed!

  • AC

Ecstatic to see Tim McGraw get that Best Country Album nomination. Love Highway Don’t Care with Taylor and Keith. The pop nominations just don’t interest me. There’s a few other noms I like…Alabama Shakes, Muse, Kings of Leon.

  • Nikki

The Grammys are consistently a joke now every single year. But you kind of have to look and see who’s on the Grammy Board. One member is Taylor Swift’s dad.

  • pika

go james blake!!! i love his voice

  • Damien

    Justin Timberlake got robbed!!!

  • alaia

The top nominations are embarrassing, as always. The rock/alternative/rap categories tend to be much better!

  • http://comcast Patricia

@ Louise. I agree KEITH URBAN is soooo talented, sooooo good looking and he is just plain IT. Keith has it all !!!!!!
