'Friday Night Lights' Movie Definitely Not Happening

Despite some fans holding out hope that a Friday Night Lights movie would eventually happen, it has been confirmed that it unfortunately will not come to fruition.

“There’s not gonna be a movie,” the show’s executive producer Peter Berg told Collider.com. “We talked about it, some people thought it was a good idea, some didn’t; I’ve come to believe it’s probably not a good idea and I seriously doubt it’s gonna happen.”

The beloved series ran for five seasons (two on NBC and three on DirecTV) and starred Kyle Chandler, Connie Britton, Taylor Kitsch, Zach Gilford, and several others.

ARE YOU SAD there will not be a Friday Night Lights movie?

There was a FRIDAY NIGHT LIGHTS MOVIE already with James Vanderbeek

@no way: You’re confusing different football movies. The one with James Van Der Beek was Varsity-something. The FNL movie that was made before the tv show had Billy Bob Thornton as Coach and Connie Britton as his wife.

Oh, I was hoping so badly though because Connie said she would have loved to do a movie! It was my favourite show ever and I have never watched anything like Friday Night Lights since.
Aww, how I miss this show…

How would they explain Lyla’s plastic / botox face, not the same person anymore

  • Kiki
