Justin Bieber Ends Tour with Visit to Philippines Typhoon Victims

Justin Bieber meets with some young fans who were victims of the destructive Typhoon Haiyan at San Jose Elementary School on Tuesday (December 10) in Tacloban, Leyte, Philippines.

The 19-year-old entertainer chatted with fans, performed songs for the crowd, and played a pick-up game of basketball while doing his charitable visit.

“That was the way to end a tour. We can all make a change and help. Please get involved. #pray4phillipines #GiveBackPhilippines” Justin tweeted. “If u guys make it trend I’m going to add the spray paint cans I used to make the #pray4philippines art to the #GiveBackPhilippines campaign”

    everyone Says:

Justin seems like a really good person. I mean it. And also he is really talented and handsome and brings a lot of joy to a lot of people. I wish the media would lay off of him a little and let him be! It is hard growing up in the pubic eye so visibly. He is a good person.

    ha Says:

@LOL: haha yeah they look like they don’t even know who he is. They look like they’re thinking “I’m in the middle of the worst ordeal of my life and I’ve lost everything, who is this weird guy singing and dancing in front of cameras like an idiot? Is he gonna build me a house or help me find my relatives? No? He’s just gonna laugh and play some basketball. Okay….”

i also wish the media would just leave him alone too! and all of the other negative news about him! he is truly a good person, i just wish people could open their damn eyes and see it!

Dont blame the media. The attention comes with fame. I do think he is a good person. He young and immature and im sure has alot of pressure on him.

    Truth Says:

Nice boy , yes he makes mistakes but who doesn’t? The media gives him so much bad press and half of the time their sources are made up or not true (I have checked his stories and many times their is no lead and it is just made up ) As old as I am I don’t listen to his music but admire him for not faking to be something he’s not like many of his peers.

    darla Says:

Whatever anyone say about Justin Bieber one thing remains clear about him ; He is a stand up guy. He was brought up well to be aware of other people’s plight. and sensitive issues. I guess being born and raise in Canada helps too.

    @ha:

Really how ignorant you must be. This catastrophe happens in remote areas of the Philippines where Computers hasn’t reached them yet. Off course most of them will NOT be aware of who he is. But what’s important is someone like him taking the time off and braving the Philippines poor state of environment just to help them and cheer him up.

    ha Says:

@darla My point was not that people living in remote areas of the Philippines should know who Justin Bieber is…
I’m pointing out the absurdity of the situation by asking how is he helping them if all they see is some random dude trying to entertain them in front of cameras during this difficult time in their lives? Who is this little PR moment really benefiting? The people affected by the hurricane or Justin Bieber’s image?
That said I agree that Justin is probably not aware of this because he seems very immature and self-centered. But his people surely should know better…

they should just feed him to the people there

What does Canada have to do with it? Like it’s better. Please!! Um, I will say one thing about Canada. Rob Ford.

clearly his team is on justjared posting nice things about his little T \/\/ A T ass

    Roo Says:

I agree that he’s been an a** as of late but that doesn’t and shouldn’t undermine our praise for him when he does things like this. At least he’s still thinking about the Philippines while the rest of the world has stopped. No matter who he is, what he’s done, whether it’s for attention etc. charity is charity. And a good deed shouldn’t go unnoticed.
