Kanye West Blasts Grammys for Only Giving Him 2 Nominations

Kanye West has taken aim at a new group – the Grammy Awards – during a candid rant at his Yeezus Tour show on Tuesday (December 10) in Phoenix, Ariz.

“And Yeezus is the top one or two album on every single list, but only gets two nominations from the Grammys. What are they trying to say,” the 36-year-old rapper said in a video posted by KISSFM Phoenix.

Kanye received nominations for Best Rap Album for Yeezus and Best Rap Song for “New Slaves” at next year’s 2014 Grammys.

In the past ten years, Kanye has been nominated for a Grammy Award 53 times and has won 21 awards already.
