Maybe these two flops should be looking for new careers

  • Q.

    He’s damn hot, she’s overrated.

If these two are flops. Please list your definition of success because on the surface of things, both have very lucretive professional careers. and more importantly they seem to enjoy each others company that in itself is so positive for people in that profession They seem to value their personal life and family. they appear to be doing the jobs they like to do as well

There was a great article in Vulture or Rolling Stone…some publication with merit, that talked about how someone like Will Smith is a star, and Ryan Reynolds is not. It breaks down box office numbers, variety of movie projects…etc. and delves into what an ‘A list movie star’ really is. Because Blake Lively is even less of a movie star than RR, the same idea can loosely be applied to her.

Personally I think they’re a great couple. They’re cute. And though neither one of them is great at acting…I really hope their marriage lasts.

he’s horrible at picking roles and films.

she’s horrible at landing roles in decent films.

it’s good that they have each other and they’re already set for life.

@Maisy RL: The publication is Grantland. That article came out soon after Green Lantern proved to be unsuccessful at the box office. It was not great at all. It was morally objectionable as one does not club on the head someone who is already down. Also, if I recall correctly, the latest film of Mighty Will Smith has been quite a flop, hasn’t it? If we value the capability of an actor by box office successes, then I suggest you check the grosses of many so-called ‘talented’ actors. I consider Reynolds an excellent actor and, contrary to what some people think, I do like his choice of films, especially the small, indie films. Opinions are not universally shared, you know.
