Sofia Vergara: I'm Not Ashamed That I Love Making Money!

Sofia Vergara heads out to do some holiday shopping on Thursday (December 12) in Beverly Hills, Calif.

The 41-year-old Modern Family star recently took the cover of Glam Belleza Latina‘s winter 2014 issue, out now in select newsstands in New York City, Los Angeles, and Miami.

Here’s what Sofia had to share:

On her business sense: “I’m not ashamed to say I love making money. I like business and the truth is I save way more than I spend. I invest. I plan for the future. I have a special eye for opportunities and work harder than anyone might expect. It is fun to shock people with my business ideas. Most people just see me as Gloria.”

On her bilingual appeal: “For me, it’s so clear. There are millions of hardworking Latinos in the U.S., doing their jobs, willing to try harder to succeed, and taking good care of their kids and family. We all spend, buy, participate heavily in this economy, and support each other. So I am one of them. I made my crossover, but I am still 100 percent a Latina mom.”

    I’m still a Latina mom, whatever that is…… what does Columbia culture, food, music, have to do with say Mexico , or Brazil language , music , food have to with Cuba…and it’s not a race. When this made up word, Latino , Latina become a thing … Latin laugauge of Ancient Rome and it’s empire … that’s not a race or culture .. And some speak of laugauge ,,which happens from Spain or Portugal Such a contrived word, just made up .

    celebs, models and athletes are all overpaid..they should be required to share it with those in need or it should just be a given!!if it wasn’t for the public they wouldn’t have money!

    @kurious kitty: That’s ridiculous and ignorant. Sure, they make much more than they should, but they work and earn their money. Their should be no requirement to give away what they make. It’s equal percentage throughout in taxes; FAIR. And they do give much more money than you do. If it wasn’t for their job, they wouldn’t have money, just like everyone else in the world. Go ahead and get a job like theirs if you want and stop complaining. Don’t be a jealous freeloader wanting their money to be given to people like you. Work for your own money and make a living by yourself.

    Sofia has always loved money, especially the men who had it lmao. When she was in the Latino Market she was known to go out with unsavory characters because of money. When you are as good looking as her she will always have money just saying.

    @John:

    first of all, you don’t have to attack me personally. I’m def not the only person that works and takes care of a child that thinks this..why do defensive?are you an overpaid “actor” too??I was making a point that all the teachers and plenty of other hard workers that are WAY underpaid and should be making a better living then this lady that just sits and bats her squinty plastic face and eyes.

    Maybe the athletes train hard, but they are still WAY overpaid..what work do celebs engage in?memorizing lines??demanding things??starving themselves?don’t be the ignorant one here..

    Brazil doesn’t have a Latin culture and they speak Portuguese. Brazil is like America, multi-culture, multi ethnic multi racial. And real latin people are white.

    British Latin American Says:

    @Anis: Portuguese is a latin language, and the first successful European colonization of what is now Brazil was by the Portuguese, who are considered Latin, like the Spanish and the Italians, and to a lesser extent the French and the Romanians. There are Spanish-speaking countries that are multi-ethnic, and multiculture. You caome across as snobbish, racist, and insecure.
