According to THR, the film not only passed the $600 million mark worldwide, but it made its way to the No. 1 spot a month after opening, which virtually never happens.

The Hobbit: The Desolation of Smaug snagged the No. 3 spot, making an additional $16.3 million, for a domestic total of $229.6 million.

Rounding out the top five were Leonardo DiCaprio‘s The Wolf of Wall Street and the star-studded American Hustle, bringing in $13.4 million and $13.2 million, respectively.

Meanwhile, Will Ferrell‘s follow-up Anchorman: The Legend Continues crossed the $100 million domestically, and The Hunger Games: Catching Fire hit $407.5 million domestically, making it the top 2013 release in the U.S.
