Jennifer Lawrence, Matthew McConaughey, & More Cover 'W' Movie Issue!

Jennifer Lawrence, Matthew McConaughey, Amy Adams, and Lupita Nyong’o are all featured on separate covers of W magazine’s Movie Issue, out on newsstands now!

The actors were also joined by Cate Blanchett and Oprah Winfrey for the issue, who honors the year’s biggest stars.

“I was at the Oscars, waiting to hear
if my name was called, and I kept thinking, Cakewalk, cakewalk, cakewalk. I thought, Why is ‘cakewalk’ stuck in my head? And then, as I started to walk up the stairs and the fabric from my dress tucked under my feet, I realized my stylist had told me, ‘Kick, walk, kick, walk.’ You are supposed to kick the dress out while you walk, and I totally forgot because I was thinking about cake! And that’s why I fell,” Jennifer shared in the mag about her fall at the 2013 Oscars.

So sick of Jennifer Lawrence’s overrated a$$.

    Lupita looks amazing!

    shay Says:

lupita really needs to win the supporting actress awards this season, she’s the one that truly deserves to win this year after seeing all the movies that are in the running for awards season. it’s a shame that her incredible performance will most likely be overlooked by j.laws very small part in the overrated American Hustle. 12YAS deserves all the awards tbh, everyone that took part in that movie did an amazing job with such a heart-felt story.

    pika Says:

god the only one who still looks great is lupita and oprah kinda. im actually surprised oprahs in this the butler has been lost in the hype of 12YAS.
@shay I really hope lupita wins but you are right j law will probably win although her performance apparently wasnt as good as the critics made out. its like blue is the warmest color apparently gives amazing performances but they will be overlooked cuz it wasnt submitted at the right time and its nc-17.

lupita has the best cover, she looks amazing.

@Coko: not this year she isn’t lol, anyone with half a brain that can analyze performances this year knows that lupita indefinitely outshone jennifer and lupita is the one that deserves recognition this year. jen will win cause of harvey and American Hustle over hyping her tiny part when in reality AH put me to sleep in the middle of the movie, i’ve seen much better 70′s based movies than that which was a real let down, AH proves you can have a talented ensemble cast yet still have a lackluster movie. i can smell another meryl streep- viola davis oscar snub this year except with j.law snubbing lupita. how unfortunate. even lea seydoux should’ve been nominated and had a much better performance than jennifer’s yet she didn’t get nominated due to award season deadlines.

    Lupita’s cover is the best.

    Dian Says:

Sorry but of all the covers the one that really look professional is the one with Jennifer Lawrence on it.

Lupita’s is the next one BUT what is going on with that mini-dress? the lady is gorgeous and that’s the best W came up with?

And what they did to Kate B? she looks nothing like her

Ophra and Matthew’s and Amy what is that…I bet I can take better pictures/ambiance than that.

    bebe Says:

wow, lupita is stunning, she has a gorgeous bone structure with an intoxicating smile. in all fairness, she deserves the oscar after her amazing performance as patsey in 12YAS. plus she’s not only gorgeous and humble with incredible fashion sense, she’s a yale drama school graduate and to get her first nomination for her first featured film speaks volumes of her talent for years to come. go lupita!!!

    living in a box Says:

    Oprah really want that Oscar.

    sweetness Says:

Jennifer #1 and Lupita’s #2 cover’s are the best. and Amy, Cate, Mattand Oprah all deserve much better cover shots for this movie issue.

    GLENN Says:

@Ryan: i agree 100% so overrated. LUPITA FOR THE WIN <3

    seriously Says:

please stop talking about food for every single thing jen, at first it was cute and all that you proved to america that you’re the first actress that actually eats (sarcasm) but now its getting borderline annoying. im pretty sure “cake walk” wasn’t the first thought that came to your head when they called your name to get an oscar >_>

    BaconBitz Says:

I agree Jennifer Lawrence & Lupita Nyong’os covers are AWESOME. They both remind me of the way old hollywood style shots used to be taken. Very nostalgic and memorable.

    Coko Says:

@taurus: Harvey is not even a producer in the movie you idiot. She is not campgaining

  20. 20
    Cate Says:

I know it’s his aesthetic but I cannot bear the look of Juergen Teller’s photos. It’s just plain ugly.

  21. 21
    nota Says:

Lupita and mcdonalds promotion. Seems more right for jennifer :)

the style of production photographs .. not seem very profecional … maybe it is like something different artistically

  22. 22
    ROFL Says:

@Coko: loooool Harvey controls awards season more than just being a producer for his production company. YOU are the idiot for not knowing what Weinstein is capable of doing during awards season and are you sure Jen is not campaigning? movie trailers for AH don’t care about anybody else in the cast for screen time except Jen which is blatantly obvious when you see the trailers, and every time cast members from AH get interviewed during late night, all they are asked about is jen, it’s called having amazing PR :) TEAM LUPITA, THE DESERVING OSCAR WINNER!

  23. 23
    Darla Says:

Jennifer Lawrence looks just like Dee Wallace in this picture from the ET movie.

    Always a nominee Says:

Amy’s trying very hard and failing, as usual

    Fercat Says:

    @taurus:
I like to refer to J. Laws win as Congeniality Oscar.

  26. 26
    Dee Says:

All of the women look great. I guess we’ll be hearing more rants from Joan Rivers about Jen L as usual though. YAWN!

  27. 27
    rey Says:

does jen only have one, same blank expression for every photo shoot she’s done? for an oscar winner, you’d think she’d break the monotony a bit……

    STEVE ZISSOU Says:

Last night I dreamed over and over that a friendly Matt invited me to visit his family’s cattle ranch near Cardston, Canada; due north of Duck Lake, Montana.

  29. 29
    Hannah Says:

I doubt it that Jennifer Lawrence is gonna win..she was amazing in American hustle but I don’t think Lupinta is gonna take it either to be honest I was bored in both of the movies..why are people calling them frontrunners honestly idk..I hope blue is the warmest color get nominated I just found the flim rich and unique..I hope the actors get at least a nomination (BEST ACTRESS AND SUPPORTING ACTRESS)

  30. 30
    GASTINKS Says:

Blue Is The Warmest Color and 2013 Palme D’Or Winner at the Cannes Film Festival Léa Seydoux and Adele Exarchopoulos both got robbed

  31. 31
    igh Says:

@Hannah: if you consider amazing as over acting for the tiny screen time that she had, then sure call it “amazing” but AH was a PR movie for jen so i really couldn’t warm up to her performance. lupita had a lot of screen time and was completely immersed in her role as patsey, as did everyone else that took part in 12YAS which was actually a much better movie as a whole than AH was.12YAS deserves all the awards
