Zoe Saldana Starring in NBC's 'Rosemary's Baby' Miniseries!

Zoe Saldana will be starring in NBC’s upcoming four-part miniseries Rosemary’s Baby, based on the best-selling suspense novel and the subsequent classic horror film.

The 35-year-old actress will take on the title role of “Rosemary, the iconic young wife and would-be mother who, with her husband, moves into a Paris apartment that has a darkly storied past. After finally getting pregnant, she becomes increasingly suspicious that both her husband and their mysterious neighbors have ulterior motives about the future of her child.”

Zoe has proven that she is one of our most gifted actresses and we think she has the perfect combination of spirit and gravitas to take on the title role from Ira Levin’s infamous novel,” NBC exec Quinn Taylor said in a statement. “With Zoe leading the cast under the direction of Agnieszka Holland, this reimagined event mini-series is off to a great start.”

I don’t think there’s enough story to tell in a series. JMHO.

    Rodrigez Says:

WTF!!! Political Correctness run amok! Rosemary is a blond, blue eyed white woman and should remain that way. What idiot thought this ugly simian could play that role. I hope they get fired!!!!

    Rae Says:

This already stinks. There are some movies that should NEVER be remade, and this is at the top of the list.

@Rodrigez: Pretty sure that has nothing to do PC and has everything to do with you being just a plain racist ignorant puta. I’m surprised you aren’t punched daily in the face.

As for this. WHY! is Hollywood constantly remaking sh!t. Give it a rest. I have a hard time believing that there isn’t a whole gaggle of writers out there with thousands of new, awesome ideas for TV shows and movies.

    Marisol Says:

Poor Zoe Saldana wants to be white so bad. She bought herself a white husband as well.

    Stella Says:

@Me: um he is right !!!! the author of the book decided to create her how she is so it is not being racist its wanting a movie/Hollywood to actually pay attention to what the characters are suppose to look like . Katniss was suppose to have olive skin, does she? NO. Peta was suppose to hgave blue eyes, does he ? NO! Christian Grey was suppose to have copper hair and grey eyes, does Jamie? No! Now when Maya Angelou books become movies and they cast someone with light skin are you going to be mad?

    Sweetness Says:

if you have seen the original…then you know this is going to be bad.

remaking a perfect movie is a set up for failure.

Zoe is to appear in the tv remake of “Rosemarys Baby”?….really?

This is one film i thought would never ever be remade….and quite frankly it really really really should`nt.,,,,but since Zoe Saldana is playing the role made famous by Mia Farrow i will see it…..out of curiosity of course.

    V Says:

@Rodrigez: You are just the perfect example of pure IGNORANCE, what on earth does the skin color have anything with to do with a movie, stupid? Judge someone by their moral qualities or acting skills in this case, not race, sexual orientation, etc. And she’s more beautiful than a ton of “white women with blue eyes and blond hair”. And this is coming from a white guy.

“Zoe has proven that she is one of our most gifted actresses”
    HAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHA
    Great joke!
Quinn Taylor doesn’t know the real meaning of “gifted actress”!
Another crap remake… Another movie/tv series/whatever that will be ruined by Zoe and her crappy acting!
