Douglas Booth: Bring Me Challenging Roles!

Douglas Booth shows off his muscled arm in this brand new fashion feature for Rollacoaster magazine’s latest issue, on newsstands this coming Monday.

Here’s what the 21-year-old Noah actor had to share with the mag:

On working with Boy George for Worried About the Boy: “We spent lots and lots of time together. His autobiography is so honest. When he’s being brutally honest with you he finishes it with this awkward laugh and look to the side [sharply motions away from me with head]. He’s very brave, he’s persistent and doesn’t give a shit and I took that on to a certain extent. He has stayed with me personally and I feel very close and attached to him still. If anyone slags him off, I get very protective. I’ve shared his heart with him, in a weird way.”

On picking roles: “Bring me challenges. I like the idea of it. I want to be on the edge of something – like the Boy George thing. At the beginning I was on the verge of a cliff… I jump and land or hit the rocks. It’s so hard to find the really good [roles] – it is rarely around and highly competitive to get.”

On Noah director Darren Aronofsky: “I didn’t feel intimidated by him at all. It’s good not to give a shit about how you look. I feel intimidated by not-so-good filmmakers. He’s really respectable to his actors, but he wants you to go as far a possible.”
