'12 Years a Slave' Wins Best Picture - Drama at Golden Globes!

12 Years a Slave has just picked up a huge honor at the 2014 Golden Globe Awards held at the Beverly Hilton Hotel on Sunday (January 12) in Beverly Hills, Calif.

The hit film beat out Captain Phillips, Gravity, Philomena, and Rush for the prestigious prize in the Best Picture – Drama category.

12 Years a Slave is still playing in select theaters across the country. Be sure to check out Chiwetal Ejiofor, Lupita Nyong’o, Michael Fassbender, Sarah Paulson, and more in the Brad Pitt-produced film.

    Congrats to TYAS and to Brad Pitt for winning BEST PICTURE At the GG. Well deserved. I am still disappointed that they didn’t win Best Director and Best Actor. I guess the GG people want to please everybody so they have to spread the awards out to all the movies competing. They don’t want a sweep, especially by a non popular movie.
