Jonah Hill Reacts to Oscar Nomination: 'I Am In Complete Shock'

Jonah Hill and his rumored girlfriend Isabelle McNally grab some sandwiches for lunch on Tuesday (January 14) in Los Angeles.

The 30-year-old actor was just nominated for a 2014 Academy Award for his work in The Wolf of Wall Street in the performance by an actor in a supporting role category. Congrats, Jonah!

“I am in complete and total shock,” Jonah told THR. “I honestly was not expecting this, on a level you can’t even imagine. Again, I’m clearly in shock. I didn’t have a plan for celebrating today because I truly did not expect any of this! But I am going to the Critics’ Choice Awards and will be great to see everyone from the film there tonight. Truly, this is shocking.”

I’m in shock also. Never in a million years. He su..ck..s

# 2

Well, he should be. Another one that doesn’t deserve it.

# 3

people understimate him as an actor because he’s a comedian but his performance in wolf of wallstreet was phenomenal. While he’s not gonna win it because he was not better than his competition, he does deserve the nom, same with moneyball.

Also, he’s adorable.

well now we know that the oscars have no value and zero credibility.

Jonah seems so nice and humble, he was great in TWOWS, and definitely deserve the nomination. It’s understandable he didn’t see the nomination coming since both BAFTA, SAG and GG snubbed his performance. I really don’ t get why he gets so much **** thrown at him….so many haters it’s sad. Try say something nice, you might like it.

Daniel Bruhl was much better than Hill and miles better than Cooper.

Fat loser.

Bradley Cooper was amazing in American Hustle and more then deserved his nomination, every major actor in the movie has been nominated and every major film award institution has nomination Bradley and his co stars, The BAFTA’s , Brits, AACTA ,Australian , SAG fellow actors , the Golden Globes, foreign press… And now the Oscar’s . Just a bunch a jealous losers whining on here.

Say what? @ 01/16/2014 at 7:23 pm

He has an Oscar nom? Are we serious? Yes, he’s funny actor and all, but Oscar? I’m in serious disbelief.

I was expecting he’d be nominated. This performance is much more deserved than the one he got for “Moneyball” (it was mostly the usual character he played until that moment), but if he wouldn’t have been nominated for it, then he wouldn’t have gotten this one for “TWoWS” (which was very deserved). Here people is judging him without even haven’t seen the performance.
